I remember another time when Trump's tax returns were made public (can't remember if it was federal or NY or?).... It was discovered that he had overpaid. Same will likely happen here. But it will allow easy access to the Biden Crime Family returns. Precedent, bitches!

That was the one Rachel Maddow got ahold of I think. The kicker to all of this is, Mueller had access to his tax returns. You never heard a peep out of them about it. If there was something, anything to find there, believe me Mueller would've told the world. Most of the left doesn't realize he had access to them. This story was over 5 years ago; but now the precedent has been set. Just in time for the new Congress to take over. That is no coincidence

How would this issue be viewed if legislation was introduced to amend the law to include tax returns of office holders other than the President and Vice President? If the returns for House and Senate leaders, including all committee chairman and ranking members as well as the nine members of the Supreme Court were included would opinions change? Full disclosure is good so long as it is the information of someone else.
Once again, excepting cases of impeachment, Congress only has investigatory powers for matters of a strictly legislative nature.
However, this will establish precedent that should the Resident be impeached, then taxes are fair game... including all of the fraud committed in his tax filings and shady foreign scheming. Of course, without the Senate, there won't be any successful impeachment, and it's not like you can even impeach an unlawful occupant of the office anyway.
