To corroborate, there was a Space Force officer giving a brief on what future tech could look like involving space. One of the biggest takeaways for me was how our children will live in a world where the planet is blanketed in wifi. He didn't say 'Starlink' but it sure sounds like Starlink to me
Another big takeaway from that brief was how China wants to start mining the moon so they can flood the earth with the minerals, effectively making all other countries' economies useless...but this one was beside the point
It won't be just China mining the moon. Makes you think how gold backed currencies are a great solution until someone mines an asteroid with a gillion tons of gold.
Yep, I think that's the solution. Iraq floated an idea for a currency called the eDinar. It'd be both blockchain and gold backed. It never came to fruition because Iraq has not reached international status in the WTO.

I don't think the DS wants ANY form of new energy being developed released to us peons ... they seem hellbent on keeping things based on oil. That's a whole other discussion though :-).
Solar and wind are only around these days to keep liberals happy and in support of the destruction of this country. They are in no way a viable long term solution (solar has plenty of applications both large and small depending on location, but it isn't a reliable source of energy in many places due to weather ... wind is almost totally worthless).
I do agree that Helium-3 should be more than enough motivation to get back to the moon, but the DS has WAYYYYYY too much power. They're in control of oil. They need that money more than anything. The last thing they need is something disruptive to come in and upend that entire industry. They'd lose a ton of money and lots of control.
$1,000 phones are for sheep... Not a whole lot different than the guy who paid to have a bank card chip inserted in his hand. Think about it... IT does not take that much high tech to make calls, and browse the web...I bet the Apple Staff could be cut down like the twitter staff if it's operations were cut to just making communications devices...
I totally agree with this....

Both very good points.

Then all the sudden a crypto currency with a hard cap kinda makes more sense...

*Gajillion
Gold is the perfect store for value no matter how much there is. Until we do, we will never have re all money.
this is comms
Any idea what message they are sending?

Helium-3. That is what is on the Moon that they all drool over. Helium-3 is used in fusion. Theres almost none here but it is abundant on the Moon.
