BTW just for fun...one of the dumbest rules ever...past tense of hang is 'hung' for everything except people—then for some unknown reason it's 'hanged'
Geting executed? Cheer up, you get your own past participle!
I was eliminated from the spelling bee in fourth grade for spelling gray with an "ay." It was literally spelled "gray" on my crayon. It was in front of the whole school. I'm still pissed about it. So much injustice.
This is a great redpill moment and anon origin story. I think a lot of truth seekers had some sort of gaslighting experience early in their life that makes them question things more than the average joe.
If you're from England or Canada, it is spelled grey. Americans generally spell grey with an "a", although I have always spelled it with an "e". Grey with an "a" just doesn't look right to me!
Agreed and upvoted!

Thanks, English!
he could still be hanged but hung like a horse 🤣
What's the rule for using 'grey' vs 'gray'.....?
"ey" is questionable? "ay" is affirmative?

It's a gray area ;)
Grey is more common in Brit English but either one works
The gray-haired greyman. Sounds like a winner to me
How many shades, tho
"gray" is American usage.
"grey" is British usage.
There are a lot of words like that. When there are two similar spellings and both seem to be correct, it's most likely American vs. British.

In college we had a student named ray that was gay. We called him 'gay Ray'. Perhaps we should have just shortened it to calling him 'G(r)ay'. kek
Not only that but he gets the spearhead his mission to euthanize to population! He should be happy about it!
'Sneak' is another weird one
😆
