Update. I can't find any articles on it but, geeze, the employee, er, cast member rules are a bit over the top. What a rabbit hole I just went down looking for the uniform scandal Dumbest one I saw was they are not allowed to point with one finger when giving directions to people, you will be fired for that. Some bullshit tribute to Walt walking the park with a cigarette in two fingers pointing things out to the guests. Wholesome as can be. Also, no tattoos, girls nails can't be a 1/4" past there fingerprints, no nail polish, no shaved eyebrows, hair must be perfect, no mustaches past the lip, no shaping beards. It goes on and on. They are not even allowed to bend over to pick up a piece of trash, they have to master the "Disney swoop" and pick it up without bending the knees. Sounds like a horrible place to work. And for God's sake, don't ever say "I don't know" because that will be your answer to where you are gonna work next.
don't ever say "I don't know" - This is one I agree with, it's terrible customer service and can easily be avoided by a well trained employee. Most high end hotels and establishments use this policy as well. For what everyone is paying to be at disney, I wouldn't want to hear that either.
This rest is trash though, and wouldn't most of those other 'policies' go against all the 'inclusion' BS they are preaching everywhere else?
I agree. If I were you,I would not wear any of your work clothing home, even if you are allowed to. It appears to be standard security monitoring but it's still creepy!
Do you have to launder any work clothes or they take care of that?
Probably for employee tracking while you're at the facility.
Those entertainment parks are several hundreds of acres. They are likely tracking the movements of employees and know about where staff members are at all times.
Nothing serious if it's not implanted in the skin. You are on private property technically so I wouldn't take the clothes home either. Don't be on here while at work, talk to us later about it
A lot of businesses and stores use RFID chips for inventory control. I know of a law firm that was considering chipping the books in their law library so they could find them if one attorney needed a book and someone else had it just hanging out in their office.
Likely they have a point (or multiple points) of entry/ exit for the employees that operates as a station for detecting the presence of the RFID chipped clothing.
Is it a character costume? That would make sense but a polo and some pants would be a different story.
Yes. Don't you have to be fully vaccinated and wear a mask all day or are they finally giving up on that?
At least there's that.
Disney made there employees wear all their clothes Underwear too. There was an outbreak of crabs If I remember correctly. I'll try and find an article

But they have a basketball court behind the Matador, so everything is peachy.
Make sure your grooming the little ones...

Can you give more information? This sounds bad!
Thanks. Some of your work clothes must stay at work. Do they regularly launder them for hygiene reasons?
It would appear it would be best to not wear any work clothing home. Some of those places have very strict rules.

Very good point! You would want to be careful! Can you get another job?

I thought RFID chips were near-field only. ie. only work close to a detector.
Is that not the case?

Yes, that's what I was imagining.
I hope you aren't using work wifi
