How about the 80's in some areas of the Bible Belt? Define oppression.
You can't show/rent this movie because it has nudity. These movies need to be banned because they have swear words. Sex outside of marriage is illegal. Or at the extreme end, all courses on evolution need to be banned because it contradicts the Bible. Trying to use economic blackmail to force businesses to accept your version of morality.
YOU are allowed your opinions and encourage others to follow you through example and action. You are not allowed to dictate that others accept your opinions and use manipulative tactics to obtain it. That is oppression.
God's law does exist. Theft is always wrong, including theft of the right to decide your own journey on this planet. (Which is why abortion is wrong. It steals the life of another.) There are absolutely lines we all need to respect. Christian fundamentalism crosses those lines. Christianity does not. You can't force your belief structure on others through coercion.
That was my point and you made it beautifully. What you call "oppression" was nothing but fighting against the time tested playbook of the Cabal - immorality to breakdown our spirituality, our family values, and ultimately our kids.
Thankfully, I dont have to make myself hoarse arguing how immorality is the gateway to the Satanic enslavement because we are watching that movie playing out right in front of our eyes.
Whether you call it spirituality or christianity, whether you follow the words in the Bible or not, guess what? At the end of all this, we are going to a world of morality and family and spiritual values because without those, we have seen the precipice they brought us to.
The only thing that made it this hard for the Cabal to bring us to this brink is the Christian values, whether you like it or not.
What you are talking about is not "Fundamentalism" but what propaganda smears it as fundamentalism.
Trying to use economic blackmail to force businesses to accept your version of morality.
Oh man, I fell off my chair reading this. What is ESG? Why are all the countries around the world forced to accept LGBT ideology?
I think you have very little self awareness that you are throwing this out without even a hint of irony.
Here is another way to thinking about it: Having seen how the progressivism has used and abused peoples ideas of equality and freedom to push us to the brink, how would you codify in a set of rules that would prevent the future generations from being taken advantage of the same way?
I believe this is basically what the Christianity set out to do, after Jesus exposed the bankers doing pretty similar to what they are doing today, and tried to codify simple rules that would keep the future generations safe.
If I have to choose between Dungeons and Dragons or Keeping kids safe from the Satanists, I would chose the latter any day. It's not a solution, but a compromise.
"The world is more complex than that. I find those who paint the world with a paint roller are simplistic and uninteresting."
And what you've said is very much a simplistic rebuttal of an argument.
1 - speaking in terms of "far far right" when referring to... Christianity? I'm not even sure what you're speaking about... something religious in your mind though?
I'll assume you're speaking about Christianity - to consider that Right or Left is completely misunderstanding it. It is Neither. That is a very simplistic paradigm that is born of the world's value system, with no understanding of what the Bible teaches.
To say the things Jesus did in his time, he made RADICAL statements. Love thy enemy! Forgive everyone without exception. Feed the hungry. Cloth the naked. Look after widows and the poor.
God doesn't even FORCE Himself on us - He leave the choice up to US to choose to follow Him or not.
Does that sound "far-far right" to you?? LOL!
2 - I'm a huge fan of D&D - I'm a professional musician - I've been around lots who smoke weed. I can tell you that I can definitely see how in each of those areas, those areas CAN be a very slippery slope. They CAN be used as gateways for the Devil.
The claim that those things are of the Devil flat out, is false. But like anything - they CAN be used by the Devil - and I certainly see how.
Consider Roleplaying someone demonic in D&D - murdering kids for sacrifices that somehow empower your character... I get it that to say that may be a gateway to Satan, for some, sounds ridiculous. But for others, it is the truth. Have you SEEN the new Diablo 4 trailers? LOL. They literally have BAAL in there. You're on a Forum here that believes in things like Predictive Programming and Child Sacrifices - and you IGNORE BAAL showing up in Pop Culture?
Consider all of the forms of music out there - consider the emotional/spiritual realm is a large part of both Performing and Creating music - for lots of artists. When you're in that realm, you are in a space that can lead you off God's path of reality and into some other area of "truth" - which is OF the Devil. Also worth noting - Lucifer was the MUSICIAN of Heaven. Think about that one next time your diminish the power of music, lol...
Weed - ever heard of the sin of Sloth? I'm not saying everyone who smokes goes down that path - but I'd say you're lying if you claimed No One did.
I'm not trying to attack you. If that's how you feel - understand that I love you and that is not my intent.
The world is a spiritual battleground. It is through the lens of the Bible that you will start to see it.
Ephesians 6:12
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."
The problem with the way Cabal operates is, they take legitimate problems in the society (most of them put in there by themselves in the past), and then they get people all riled up and drive them to the other end of the pit, never letting anyone find a middle ground of balance on all sides.
First, religion is pushed to extremes by people who dont even understand what religion is about.
Then, they push the unhappy people to the other extreme in the name of progressivism.
For them it doesnt matter on which end we fall into the abyss, as long as we fall in it.
Except that you're wrong. It was our checks and balances that kept us safe. You think it's "muh Christianity" because you have been told such. And you were told to look for all the markers to prove that it's human degeneracy that's to blame and that it's always inevitable. But not you. You're special. You've been chosen out of 6000 known religions and 8 billion people to follow the correct religion. No one else matters cause they are bound for hell. And you need to treat people like shit with scorn and contempt despite the fact Jesus says the opposite.
That was my experience with multiple churches until I realized, they are no different than the cabal. Was the church talking about human trafficking or pizzagate or Epstein? One church had the balls to actual call attention to human trafficking that's out of like 30 I attended across thousands of miles of United States. 1/30 actually brought attention to REAL evil, not their fantasy, outdated legend that doesn't serve to help people, but rather the same type of programming the cabal uses... but they are the good guys cause they told us.
Wrong. Programming and manipulating people is wrong and this is why a theocracy ISN'T realistic. It's also why we have the Constitution and NOT the Bible as the law of the land. If you actually read Jefferson and Maddison while a lot of them were men of conviction they also knew the importance of the right to choose and that is what a theocracy does: it spiritually rapes people.
The root problem is not immorality and a desire to sin, it's a desire to control. The church wants you hyper focused on other people's lives so you run out of steam and need to go to them to recharge. They want you dependent on them because they are an energy sucking business like all the rest. Jesus said "where two or more of my people gather, there I am also". That's it. That's church. Not the crap that Paul said which became law. Jesus is the authority and His authority is His alone. Nowhere does He give us authority over any other human. He doesn't want people forced into believe Him because He knows that is wrong. That is why we have the Constitution.
Yes, degenerates are gonna degenerate. As long as sin is allowed to thrive that will always be. But how exactly do you think the magical purification happens? Jesus comes back and we're magically restored? No. The only way to overcome sin is to rationalize it into oblivion. But at the same time, the well is tainted with what sin is. Your lifestyle might not be one to include "degenerate" things, but here's the best part: that's okay. As long as you choose for yourself because it's what you want that's all that matters. As long as you respect the rights of others to exist and have ideas and respect their consent, that's really all that matters. Most everything else people need to experience and decide for themselves. All we can do is pray, love them and share our experiences and reasons why our way of life is better. But even then, our way is also unique to each of us individually.
Just always remember no matter how impassioned you get that Jesus will decide everyone's fate on His time in His way. We only decide our own. And really... we want most everyone else to be saved. Not damned. Hell or oblivion is for the pedo elite. Most everyone else deserves a second chance even if they don't get it in this life. And do you really want to keep representing the kingdom as a place of judgement? When I shed my past insecurities and judgements, my depression and anxiety, a lot of which was built up by the churches, vanished. I have a very centered mind these days. I have my bad days, we all do, but looking back at the fundamentalist piece of trash I used to be, no. Never again. And I will never allow such a person to wield any real power because I know like my past self, they will abuse it.
Every form of tyranny. Means every form of tyranny even the ones we think we would agree with and be okay with.
Wow, I have never seen a comment to disconnected with the person you are talking to. It always helps to ask questions rather than just jump to conclusions and then argue with a phantom person.
I am not a Christian
I have been a life long atheist/agnostic until I found Q. I used to hate religions, Christianity especially, passionately until then.
I am slowly connecting dots starting from Q saying "this is biblical" to what Bible has to do with Q.
This lead me to finding my own spirituality, that has nothing to do with Bible or Christianity
I do believe our fight with the Cabal is a continuation from thousands of years ago and Bible is a historical record of the origin of our enslavement
I believe the old testament is a record of our enlsavement by malign alien beings and new testament is a record of a figure we call Jesus, who was a benign alien being. He exposed the Evil and helped codify certain rules that the generations could follow to ensure they do not get enslaved again. A big part of the enslavement is through financial control (hence "money changers") and destroying family and social cohesion.
The codification included "No usury" (hence they came up with central banks), and "morality" (to save family and social cohesion).
Catholicism was the usurping of these codifications by the Cabal to again take control of the masses.
9.Spirituality is separate from religion. Religion is the codification to protect society from the Evil, whereas Spirituality is the universal law that connects us to the universal consciousness (or universal vibration).
When I say Christianity is what saved American from being pushed to the abyss long ago, I do not mean church or pope. I mean the codes that kept the family and social structure intact for as long as it did.
It was our checks and balances that kept us safe. You think it's "muh Christianity" because you have been told such
Actually no one told me the "muh Christianity" kept America safe. It was something I deduced myself based on my own journey as outlined above. As for "checks and balances" - yeah I have been told that many times, and I used to believe it just like you did as the only reason. The more I research, the more I come to the conclusion that Checks and Balances were inherently flawed and had been lost by the time of the civil war, and definitely by the time the Fed was established. However, they still had to work the people out of their codes (Morality) before fully exerting the control they had already taken wielded.
Just a tip - its very obvious that you have some very deep personal issue with Christianity, and thats fair enough - I can easily understand that. Trying to form your world view based on emotions is not the best way to do, if your true goal is to understand the Reality as it exists to the extent possible, rather than the reality as you hope and wish is true.
If you think about the government as a way to create a society that you'd personally like to live in, you're doing it wrong.
We should think about the government in terms of right and wrong. It's wrong to use violence (government) to prevent people from having sex and viewing pornography.
There's a massive difference between restricting something (making it off limits) and making people behave in a particular way (compulsory behavior).
Also, the one who desires that which is restricted will ALWAYS view that restriction as oppression. The question then becomes, by what standard is a restriction validated?
We have by and large, two competing definitions of oppression today. (Sure, an over-simplification, but it's simply a frame to view the layout with.)
One, anything that prevents my (immoral, selfish, destructive) behavior is oppression.
Two, anything that prevents my (moral, equitable, constructive) behavior is oppression.
This is, however, ultimately a conflict between two value systems, and if one is right, accurate and good, the other is wrong, incorrect and evil.
But I think it's important to draw a distinction between legal (which is something created and enforced by the state) and lawful (which is something that upholds law, including the natural and common law), on one hand, and also between a legal and a moral (and lawful) imperative on the other.
A community defining what it sees as a moral imperative is not the same thing as a legal imperative.
The fact is, that living in a society, then one's behavior DOES impact on the rest of society. So, what is the imperative to "do not harm"? The justification for broad and indiscriminate acceptance of homosexual behavior has been that "what someone does in their own privacy doesn't affect others", but in reality, if the spiritual world exists, and we are more than merely material beings, it DOES affect others.
However, in a world of relative good and relative evil, it is NOT for the state to interfere in the choices of individuals, regardless of whether those choices are moral, lawful, or constructive or not. IMO.
Kinda curious to hear when you think was the last time Christian fundamentalists oppressed people.
How about the 80's in some areas of the Bible Belt? Define oppression.

I wouldn’t want to be ruled by the far far right, just as much as far far left.

Define:
Oppression = Time when someone calls “The Cabal” by name.
Now the terms “Christian fundamentalism” and “Christian tyranny” make more sense.
The problem with the way Cabal operates is, they take legitimate problems in the society (most of them put in there by themselves in the past), and then they get people all riled up and drive them to the other end of the pit, never letting anyone find a middle ground of balance on all sides.

not being able to have casual sex is oppression?
being unable to view pornography is oppression?
id rather live in this "oppressed society" over this clown world where degeneracy runs rampant.
If you think about the government as a way to create a society that you'd personally like to live in, you're doing it wrong.
We should think about the government in terms of right and wrong. It's wrong to use violence (government) to prevent people from having sex and viewing pornography.
