After going through the fall of the cabal i kept getting this feeling that Santa was only created to distract us from Jesus during Christmas...No other religion has this, same with easter and a fucking rabbitt

NO! I just watched a Christmas Special by Greta Van Sustran and Franklin Graham. Christmas is celebrated around the world by many people. It is celebrated for Christ's birthday aka Christ Mass. Gifts are given by many such as why ST. Nick who really did exist in Germany who gave to the poor children who had hardly any food and such. The two were later combined as Jesus giving his gift of his Life for our Redemption, and St. Nick aka giving his gifts of money and toys to the children who had much of nothing. JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON. Santa is there to add to the fun of it all. He does not take away from it unless YOU ALLOW him to. As for the Elf on a Shelf, it's just a way for companies to make money. People can take things a bit too far.
The argument is that Christmas is all about material goods and does not represent Jesus at all.
Oh. I see. Well, Franklin Graham said that his entire family growing up as well as his kids and grandkids all love Christmas. He also said they gave gifts on Christmas morning. The weird part of the show was he said his mother always made 'oyster' stew for breakfast on Christmas morning. He said they all hated it; even his father Billy, but that they would try to eat it for her sake. He said he didn't know where the tradition of her 'oyster stew' came from, but they no longer do it. Other than that, he said Christmas is the most wonderful holiday of the year. Just don't base it all on material things, even if he does give the shoebox gifts to kids around the world who are less fortunate. Some people take giving/receiving gifts a bit too far. If you receive ONE gift during Christmas; then you've had Christmas. Be grateful and thankful you got that. Amen.
His father said there are other ways to the father. “Many roads” as he put it. It is pagan and it is actually preached against by our Lord himself.
Oprah said the same thing.
The ONLY way to the Father is Jesus Christ. He preached that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Period.
No one cometh unto the Father except by me.
Billy Graham spoke many times about Jesus being the only way, so what are you talking about?!
Lived Billy Graham and saw him once when I was in high school at a youth rally. As for his son and grandson, I do not trust anyone who agreed with shutting down churches, pushed masks and clotshot as ok with God.
Thanks. I too saw Billy Graham at Arrohead stadium in KCMO. What bugged me was all the kids that rushed down to proclaim the got saved when in reality they were just trying to “fit in with what was popular at the moment.” I see it first hand as a pastor. I always wonder how many false confessions did Graham bring forth?
Is south America and other parts of the world, gifts were not given on Christmas at all. Some small things were exchanged on Epiphany , aka Three Kings day, in January. Whatever European and North American commercial nonsense came in went and poisoned all that.
I'm looking forward to my oyster soup tomorrow night. Maybe it's a southern thing, like hash brown casserole.
I'm from the US South and we didn't do either of those things.
About the only difference was banana pudding.
I had some a few weeks ago at the coast. It was very good.
I cant think of anything more seasonal then a half frozen bowl of oyster slop on christmas paired with a peppermint mocha. 🤢
Yuck. You can have it.
Christ wanted His death celebrated.
Christ wanted His death remembered, not celebrated.
Exactly. Jesus didn’t have an ego lol
Honestly His death should be, and is celebrated along with His resurrection. He gave His life in a most painful way so that we could all be forgiven. The biggest selfless act of love in history. If that isn't worthy of celebrating then nothing is. Both parts - the death and the resurrection - should be celebrated. It's not celebrating that Jesus died - it is celebrating that He died for everyone.
Technically the last supper recreation is called a celebration in many places, but yes. The Old school term celebrate and current meanings are different.
His resurrection specifically
No He didn't. Lol. He called for remembrance, not celebration. The only God-approved "holidays" are scriptural: tabernacles, passover and pentecost. Christmas is not Godly. Christmas is not ok. Bring wrath upon your house if you wish.
We identify with Christ through His death and resurrection.
Let me be perfectly clear: if you celebrate Christmas, you're none of His and you won't be seeing heaven for quite some time. Serve yourself and your little gods. Time's up.

Again, it's up to parents to teach their children about Jesus because schools won't do it. We've had birthday cakes for Jesus on Christmas.
My uncle’s 3rd wife always brought a cake for Jesus birthday. (After two attempts he finally got a good one and eventually screwed that up) I thought that was good to do for kids to know the reason for the season.
Presents or presence... We can choose to celebrate the plastic objects we open up every December 25th or we can celebrate the people in our lives.
