Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
A Tree and its Fruit
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Which saint theologian can we trust to lead this new Inquisition?
You seem to suggest yourself.
What will the test look like? Would it sort out 'true' from 'false' any better than the failed Ecumenical Councils?
Will waterboarding be added to the torture list?
Will the test be about history as taught by the bible vs secular history and so one must make a choice? Will it be on theology? Could you pass a test on theology?
Could you pass a test on gnostic christianity?
What's the penalty for 'failures' and how is it enforced?
And finally, will you accept the results if it's found that you failed the test?
I'm thinking maybe a LOT of people don't really know what this Christianity thing SHOULD be and it's pretty obvious that everyone can only see what they feel is BENEATH THEM and judge IT instead.
Blind leading the blind.
Been there, done that _____ Popes and their martyrs
Pretty over the Top response to the mere suggestion that some aren't as covered by the blood due to their own issues. I believe the OP's observation lacks the call for any kind of inquisition you presume to rail against. However if you are a church admin or elder or Preacher I can understand why you could be rattled by the idea of falling short of the glory of God. But that's between the individual and God himself and the time for that meeting is never when we expect it.
While we aren't to be the judge, we should be aware. Jesus said many would use His name and know him not. He didn't say a few.
Start with the so-called Christians who voted for Hillary or Biden.
P. Francis
Jesus will separate the sheep from the goats
John 4.24
"God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Pretty over the top response to the mere suggestion that those who fall short of the glory seem to be the ones first to lay claim to authority.
You hit the point when you say it's between the individual and God himself and then counter that with your comments as judge.
That doesn't rattle me, I haven't made any false statements. it rattles the true judge.
Now read the rest of the chapter.
My mom's saying was "No one will fuck you like a Christian" she never trusted someone that was a "good Christian guy"
Makes it sounds like Christians are really good lays
