Dude. Zelenski has green screening to do. He can't be in the Senate or Congress everyday. It is his 3 weeks working in Ukraine. Don't worry, as soon as he comes back they will be in session again.

Looks like the senate just voted to be in recess "vacation" until Jan 23rd. Nearly 3 weeks.
Senate calendar PDF says they are are off for 3 weeks, but under "Executive business" Upchuck Schumer has the senate in recess until exactly 1:05 today (Jan 6th). Why so specific?

I think it ie important to cut Congress working hours & pay. $174,000 dollars a year + expenses for part-time work is criminal.
These people rarely “work” yet they attend “meetings” all day that are basically high-priced meals, breakfast/lunch/happy hour/dinner at various restaurants and “clubs” paid for by tax dollars or lobbyists where they all have overpriced suits on, expensive ties, watches, pens, haircuts, you name it. Then they laugh at you and do it all over again the next day. Or they go on vacation. Lots of vacations.

After the coverage of the past few days, where they have been talking about how many people have "showed up" for work to do the voting in person, I am starting the get the clue that if this were any other time, the chamber is empty, and these folks are out there just dicking around on our dime.
Didn't they just give themselves a raise? For what, taking as much free time as they can?
They should be in the "office" EVERYDAY, just like many Americans get up and go to work.
What the actual hell are we paying these people for if they are not at work at least a couple days a week?
This "work from home" BS is getting out of hand.
You pay $200k/yr to get what you want, but if they sign one pork filled bill that salary becomes paltry.
You aren't paying their salary. Someone else is.
