Batteries don't work so good in cold
driving all electric for a road trip like that is just idiotic. The Tesla or any all-electric vehicle is intended for in-town and commuting.
Oh, but it says 330 mile range. No. That's when it's brand new. That doesn't account for wear, after you run it down you don't get that peak range again.
It doesn't account for minimum range where you have miles left and it stop so you don't go completely dead, and doesn't account for cold weather.

It's a Model Y, EPA "optimistic" range of 300-330 depending on version. Shortest distance between Orlando and Wichita is 1400 miles. Six stops in a rental that likely hasn't been maintained properly is right on target. Don't see the issue here, it's within expectations.

when batteries age, especially IN THE SUN, they will lose charge quickly as time goes on. That's just what batteries do. Now they want us all on batteries and not gasoline because in 10-20 years gasoline will be like free energy.. a liquid that powers your vehicle instantly.. people will wonder WTF happened and there they will be, a drained battery unable to move their car and will have to buy new ones once every year.
The goal is not EV or cleaner environment. The real goal is to end private transportation.
They will ban every IC powered mode of transportation, then limit how many times a month you can charge your EV.
They'll force you to ride the public crackhead transportation to and from work so you'll be easier to get reparations from, every day, or get the shit beat out of you.

EVs are less viable than ICE cars on long trips during winter.
That’s less than 1% of trips taken by a normal driver.
The usual daily drive is between 30-40 miles a day, well suited for even the cheapest EVs.
The average driver would save more than 2 hours at the pump every year, that’s time you’ll be using fast charging instead.
For me it’s a break even, I use about the same time fast charging my Ioniq 5 as I was using filling up my Volvo V90.
If you’re driving a lot of longer trips during winter, driving an EV will be a pain,
But if you’re closer to the average driver, it’s very convenient to wake up with full tank every day.
Especially here in Sweden where a litre of gasoline is close to 20 SEK ($6,83 a gallon), and a kWh is less than 15 cents.
There are a few drawbacks of driving an EV, increased consumption and longer charge sessions during winter are two of them. But that will only be an issue if you drive multiple trips of 200 miles + in less than 50F.
Most electricity used to recharge EVs is generated using fossil fuels (coal or natural gas).
The manufacture of EV batteries requires multiple extremely rare elements, such as lithium. These elements are generally only able to be obtained by strip mining, which destroys massive areas of the environment, in some cases even entire ecosystems. And what do you think the huge trucks and earth-moving equipment for these strip mines run on? Electricity? Of course not, they all run on fossil fuels.
When you combine the amount of fossil fuels that are used in creating and repeatedly charging the batteries for an EV, the total is more fossil fuel usage than the average gasoline engine will burn in its entire lifetime.
No power grid on the planet can handle the strain of even a moderate portion of citizens charging EVs at the same time, let alone EVERYONE. There isn't a power grid on the planet that wouldn't melt down if even a third of the citizens tried charging their EVs at the same time. This is exactly what the DS wants, as they would use it as an excuse to raise electricity rates through the roof and pass laws limiting the number of charges you can have per month in order to force you onto public transportation which they can shut down or put restrictions on any time they want to limit peoples' movement.
The cost for a replacement EV battery can run anywhere from $10,000 to $35,000 depending on the make and model of your EV. That is assuming that you can even find a replacement battery as the design and technology is changing so fast that EV batteries are not interchangeable, and often there will be no replacement batteries available for an EV that is a few years old. You will then have a $60,000+ paperweight in your driveway and will have to go and buy a new vehicle, or declare bankruptcy and ride public transportation instead.
EVs are much less efficient in cold climates as the batteries cannot hold a full charge in cold temperatures. The colder the temperature, the less charge the battery can hold, and the more often it will need to be recharged. And since the vehicle's heater runs off the battery, the battery will drain much faster in cold weather and your driving range will be dramatically less. And what will you do if you get stuck in a traffic jam in cold weather and your heater drains the entire battery? How will you get your battery recharged, or avoid freezing to death in a dead car with no heater?
EVs are one of the worst ideas mankind has ever come up with. Which is exactly the point, because they will be used as the first step to pushing us all onto public transportation and making personal vehicle ownership illegal so that our movement can be restricted or even completely eliminated. No need to put chains on a slave if they have no way to travel on their own without the government's help and permission.

It’s as unheard of on a modern EV, almost as rear as changing the engine on a new ICE, at about the same price.
I know this myth has been spread far and wide on forums like this, but please do some of your own research into this.
Battery degrading and replacement is a non issue.

I would just like to remove some myths.
Long trips (except in cold weather), battery degradation and replacement is a non issue on this generation of EVs.
The environmental aspect is a huge question mark, but the fun factor is great.
Mine is as fast and fun as a super car, at a fraction of the cost.
Why?
The only thing you know about EVs are lines your repeating from the oil industry, combined with extreme confirmation bias.
Do some research of your own, that’s the spirit of Q.
If you do some research, you’ll find out that changing a battery in a modern EV is almost non existent. It’s just as rear as having to do an engine swap in a new ICE car.
The range and charge times during winter is inconvenient, but that’s only a problem on longer trips, and you’ll need about an hour longer on a 400 mile trip than in an ICE.
How many 400+ miles trips are you doing during winter.
Don’t be like our enemies (mostly libs with extreme TDS), don’t just buy headlines because they support your bias. Do your own research and test drive an EV yourself.
It’s great fun, and mostly hassle free as long as you’re not an outlier in the driving statistics.
And stop calling people idiots when they clearly know more about a subject than you do. It’s not the Q way.
