If I could pick just one place for merit to remain more important than diversity, I would pick the military.
The most hated policy in the Military by leftists was "Don't ask, Don't tell." Who you fuck and how you fuck them is completely irrelevant to eliminating America's enemies.
When you hear that, challenge it. "Diversity is our strength!"

Even if it were true, and it might be, my point is, so many just spout these slogans but have no knowledge to back them up if you ask.
The ORIGINAL point of Diversity was that bringing people together from a diversity of VIEWPOINTS results in a greater whole than an otherwise monolithic groupthink.
The wokethink version of Diversity is literally the definition of Groupthink which is defined as a problem for leadership in the military to overcome in literally every pre-2010 military school on the subject (I have no idea if they scrubbed that out after 2010.)
Our strength is equal opportunity not equal outcomes. The left has deliberately confused the issue. A Meritocracy allows men and women of all colors and creeds to find their level without impediment by government overreach.
Diversity = removing white people or people of color with conservative views with non white people with no similar American values so they can control America at every level and company. And don't forget they blame white people for everything so the DS is hoping the diversity crowd continues to deplatform and replace white people and or American values
But we can see how it is affecting the young minorities by the number of school beatings. Their young minds are heavily impacted by the lies from the left. They now believe it is their right to lash out against anyone who doesnt look or think like they do. They believe it is their right to burn, loot and murder.
This nation had truly turned the corner in race relations. Each succeeding generation was more tolerant of those different than they. Beginning with Obama race relations have been set back decades and black superiority and entitlement is becoming a major issue with our young minorities.
If we look at the former Rhodesia and South Africa we can see where this is headed.
The leadership has prioritized wokeness before defense, it seems.
Elon should have added -- and failing.
