Those tracks are not used much, once or twice a year. They are not really worth repairing. I've seen similar in Oklahoma, maybe not quite that bad, they haul grain out once a year.
Still... Would one or two East Palestines a year be acceptable? Is it acceptable for some of the richest people in the world and their companies not to cough up the money to fix them in the richest and 'most powerful' country in the world? Would shitty runways be acceptable and not worth repairing for airplanes? East Palestine shows they're 1. Evil 2. Don't care but additionally 3. Much more willing to pay because of an accident rather than paying to prevent one. Hell, how many amtrack passenger trains get derailed a year resulting in deaths?
While i understand the tracks in the video weren't really used/have been since fixed, i guarantee there's many more like them that chemical train cars traverse all the time.
America should have top standards, not a "good enough" approach. Especially with the amount of money involved.
I have never heard a train engine sound like some old logging rig, in America. This is some POS from India from my prospective. I will send this to some folks that retired from the tracks and see what they say.
Contact worked in this tri-state location, he said that track would be out of service. Said, never seen a track in that bad of shape on his watch, 40 years on the job before retiring recently. Just listen to that horn on that piece of junk π€£. OP grabbed garbage off the net and someone is gaslighting. Fed wants to launder some money through the railroad I suppose.
Thank you. Did he suggest it was in another country? Because there is clearly a train on those tracks, albeit, moving slowly. Who knows? So much deception online. This could have happened after an earthquake or flood that disrupted the tracks, or maybe it's not even in the USA. Appreciate the follow up and glad to hear it would be out of commission.
I should go through my town and get pictures of our railroad tracks because they look just like that I'm in Marysville Ohio which is approximately 32 miles north west of Columbus

Good. Report back. I hope this is incorrect.
lol the railway's version of speed bumps
Part of the reason DJT wanted money for infrastructure?
LOL only in ohio (My home state). You couldn't pay me enough to drive that train.
There is some context that is being left out in this video. No way those are commonly used tracks in the US.
Looks like a 3rd world country.
It only took two years to make America third world.

Oh, please do!
