Yeap. Being a curious engineer, I happened to come across this accidentally while camping in New Hampshire 10+ years ago. Found one of these sensors 20 feet from the road and next to fish hatchery ponds that are mechanically aerated from a nearby pump house.
I started looking into other locations with some fellow curious engineers and discovered a crap ton near airports, parking lots and highways.
Total BS. Another reason I'm considered a wacky Conspiracy Theorist.
Not only that but, temperature readings from remote and mountainous regions have been removed from the system. These are regions where the temps would not only be lower, giving balance to overall temp readings but, would also show that there is little, if any, rise in temperatures over time. These reading would also show the recent cooling and the PTB can't have that.
Not to mention that we have only been recording actual temperatures for about 100 years. So anything that says "highest recorded" means highest in 100 years, or in other words, the highest in 0.00002% of the earths existence.
So there is a minscule recorded increase in temp, that they have to artificially get by moving sensors to the correct strategic locations, over a what is a completely negligable amount of time. And thats assuming a rising temp would be bad and not good. The whole thing is a complete farce.
There are also instrumentation issues and the method data is collected. As an example, they no longer use tidal measurements for sea level but use satellite data exclusively.
So true about the UK as well.
When heat records were broken last year in England and Wales they were at weather stations located at airports.
Same with air quality indexes. The measuring data goes from 1( pure clean air ) to 500 ( bush fire burning). The UK has daily readings of 10 to 20 ( due to the Atlantic and makes the air some of the cleanest in the world.
That doesn’t stop libtards imposing clean air zones on our cities such as Londonistan.

there was a webpage years and years ago, that had as a project to list and show photographs of everysingle one of these sensors, and also to show how the area has built up, along with the FUDGE factors that were used to "correct" the tempatures, , they showed how invalid the numbers being used were, I have not been able to find that webpage in over 15 years.

I can’t remember who the “climatologist” was that I listened to close to a decade ago that exposed that most of the “controls” on climate data were actually located on volcanos with active steam vents. Hence the readings were never actual readings at all.
