I know a young woman who is military police in Minnesota National Gaurd.
She said she is gettting deployed for 36 months! (Leaving end of this month)
She said she's going to Chicago. I googled military police and found the 333 military police company deploys to Cuba.
I asked this woman what is happening at Gitmo. She sounded surprised and laughed and said "you know i cant tell you!"
From my understanding, taking a bunch of NG troops out of their civilian life for 3 years is a big deal!
Something going on?
I'm not knowing either BUT I can say deployment isn't unusual in itself, 3 years though is the red herring....
Nothing else to add... Gonna keep an eye on it
Carry On!!!
Son in Army NG is headed to Africa in May.
Nephew headed in SAME-SAME DIRECTION!!!
Will be praying for your nephew. So thankful for these young men.
PRAYERS are what KEEPS these Young MEN going...God Bless!!!
I thought the National Guard usually stays in there state and the Reserves deploy everywhere.
Not always. My dad was NG and he went to Iraq for a year.
Remember 1 million national guard were activated with the COVID national emergency by the CIC PDJT. The national emergency was just extended under Biden for the Russian threat. We have been under a national emergency for 3 years, national guard has been active for 3 years, national emergency just got extended
NG can be deployed out of state if nationalized or if approved by their state's governor (training, assist with natural disaster relief, etc.).
Trumps Executive Order 13912, March 2020, still active alongside 10 U.S. Code 12406.
Mmmmm hopium snfffffffffffffffffffffffff
FWIW, several AFSOC units from NM and FL (USAF) are being moved to Germany for an estimated 36 months... (VERY reliable source, cannot be specific)
Interesting!
Chicago or Cuba ?
Chicago, but the post she is going to is known to deploy to Cuba often.
Oh, I see Thanks
I saw 2 nat guard convoys on route 23 in MI this week.
