God is also more than going to church. It's about forming a deep intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Most definitely not useless. When u truly do this u gain so much power in him. He strengthens you and renews your mind

I completely agree. Christians will rip each other off and say it is in the name of Jesus to forgive (closed our church too). I hate the "Matthew" way of resolving conflict. It has never worked in any of my experiences, just made things worse. Christians will smile to your face and stab you in the back, then repent and "be forgiven" on Sunday. I am a Christian, however I will never get too comfortable in a church again. I chase good kids programs since that's the season of life I am in, but will never get too comfortable at a church again. The people are nuts.
My first Pastor said if there's a perfect church he doesn't want to go to it because then it wouldn't be perfect anymore.
A church is a hospital, for those sick with sin.

Please do not give up on finding "a good church!" It's still possible. ALSO, it's quite possible that the main thing you'll be doing is forging relationships with GOOD Christians who you will later be in a home church with. The current legislative agenda will drive the Church underground; that hasn't happened yet.
When u turn back to God u often go through moments of dark night of the soul that can appear as sickness. God often uses weak moments to strengthen our faith. Keep turning to him fren. Love u
