Interestingly enough the UT Clock Tower shooting in 1966 could classify as a school shooting. What is interesting is Texans showed the US how to deal with school shootings way back then. Civilians played a part in stopping the carnage, and when word went out about the shooting people with hunting rifles showed up and started shooting at the shooter. That actually kept him from killing more people because he was taking fire from all over a 5-block radius.
These days if there was a shooting and someone went out to their car to retrieve a gun they would end up either shot by the cops (who are shooting at anything that moves) or they would be arrested on gun charges.
I wasn't born until after the 60s but it sounds like a much better time, especially with the cops actually working with civilians instead of arresting them.
The UT Clock Tower shooter went looking for help because he kept on having violent thoughts, but everyone he went to dismissed him. Turns out he had a brain tumor.
You mean the part where they lined people up on the floor and shot them with an automatic rifle? Yeah - I'd say that is a school shooting. Doesn't matter if they also had explosives/fire/missiles. They shot a ton of kids and adults.
I think pharmaceuticals and/or MKUltra plus media hype. The pharms appear to be a common factor going way back. The MK because “why have the last few shooters been trans but not before?”. And the media makes so sensational it inspires other nuts.
Growing up in a predominantly black town in South Jersey there was one tranny weirdo that hung out at the shopping plaza.
And everyone thought he was a mentally ill weirdo and avoided him.

Actually, that's not true - there were mass shooters, but they were called "FEDS." Rip Waco.

The first and still deadliest attack on a school occurred in Bath, Michigan in May 1927. Fourty four died including 39 children.

Not exactly in the context of our conversation now is it?

Oh I can't believe I forgot about that. That was so horrendous. :(
It's the truth. The question is how long will it take to swing the pendulum back?
It needs a massive change in lifestyle - more exercise, less processed / fast food, return to God, mental health resources, etc.

The big link to all mass shooters -Psychotropic drugs!
And for some reason they all have a manifesto…(?)
Another one is that every single shooter, if registered to vote, was registered Democrat. Every last one. Not a single Republican ever.

A bullet to the chest can do that. He surprised them by how tough he was.

The confounding factor here is the CIA and FBI activity level.
