He had a choice. The lying, double-talking son of a bitch claimed the election certification was "only ceremonial." That in itself is a lie, but let's assume that he is correct, and it really is just ceremonial. In that case, he then has absolutely no reason whatsoever to not perform the "ceremony" by ceremoniously rejecting the votes!
Before he was able to do anything Congress was whisked away because of Nancys fake insurrection. When they came back it was in an emergency capacity and House rules didnt allow for any debate. It was a straight vote.
Trump knew Nancy would deploy this and it is why he delayed the end of his speech. He forced her to begin the insurrection before most Patriots had a chance to get to the Capital, shining light on the feds that were embedded all through the crowd. They were removing fencing, pusing back cops and banging on doors before the speech was even over.
If it hadnt played out this way we wouldnt know even now about the Fedsurrection. This made it completely obvious and we are able to convince even the normies. Polls have shown that most, even the liberal normies, dont think an insurrection occurred.
Nobody is going to try to prove you wrong. Most of us are just waiting until the movie is over so who was who can be revealed. No sense in buying 100% into any particular narrative at this time.
Yes. I've seen NOTHING conclusive, either for or against, me forming a solid judgment of him. I really do hold out hope that he took the arrow only he could for the U.S.A. I'm open to the contrary view as well sadly.
I’m staying open to the possibility that he did what Trump secretly told him to do, even though it would make him wildly unpopular with us.
Time will tell!
He had no choice to do anything once Pelosi finagled a fake insurrection into an emergency session. Id say he was in on it with Pelosi though.

But then what?
Then the legislation from each state would duke it out based on the numbers having been seen at the Capitol.
It is inconceivable that a VP who KNOWS election fraud occurred would be required by the Constitution to certify that fraud.
Not just untrue or a varying opinion; it is inconceivable.
His sworn duty to defend and protect the Constitution meant that he had a sworn duty NOT to certify the fraudulent coup d'etat.
But he was in on it. As a traitor, he now deserves to be executed, after trial.
Prove me wrong
