For the first time in history, we just witnessed a beer commit suicide.
Budweiser (owned by Anheuser-Busch), the formerly conservative company, who sells beer to mostly conservative macho men, chose a transgender person as their spokesman. Budweiser has lost their mind. They ignored my grandfather’s number one rule of business- the customer is always right.
Bud offended their core base of customers (the Silent Majority) to please a woke mob that makes up a tiny percentage of their customers. Millions are now boycotting Bud. They just destroyed a century of positive branding with one woke, clueless, incredibly dumb miscalculation.
The dollars and cents part of the story is even more remarkable. This one miscalculation cost Anheuser-Busch (as I write this column) over six billion dollars in market value. In six days. In other words, Bud is losing $1 billion per day. The snowball has turned into an avalanche.
But that figure is only market cap, not sales. Beer distributors, bars and liquor stores across the country report that sales are dying too. This is starting to get really ugly for Bud. Yes, a beer just committed suicide.
Will Anheuser-Busch go bankrupt? Not a chance. They’re the 94th most valuable company in the world, with a market cap of over $130 billion dollars, with many brands. In the long run, they’ll probably recover. But in the short run, they are feeling tremendous pain. Conservatives and patriots have taught them a lesson they’ll never forget!
Budweiser (owned by Anheuser-Busch), the formerly conservative company, who sells beer to mostly conservative macho men, chose a transgender person as their spokesman. Budweiser has lost their mind.
I disagree. But I must be the only one that thinks this was a decision that was forced by the WH's.
Not really. I mean so many here keep reminding us "you are watching a movie" and "Patriots are in control" that it's not a stretch to think these unlikely stories are actually part of the WH script.
Just wondering how the WHs could "force" Bud to do such a stupid thing just to lose billions of dollars in sales? Now to me, the Jan 6 prisoners must be thinking this is a horror movie and I believe they would have more doubts than I do that the WHs control everything.
Shlitz committed suicide. They used to be best selling beer by a wide margin, now almost gone. Changed recipe to save money, everyone stopped drinking it.
I don't know what you mean by that. I'm asking why you mentioned JR in regards to this. Just curious if JR said or did something in relation to the Bud Light news item that garnered your attention and that's why you mentioned him. That's all I was wondering. Nevermind though. Carry on, soldier.
He was not in support of the boycott because Anheuser Busch contributes to the GOP (and the DNC) at a 60:40 ratio. I just wonder if he was being serious, mentioning that they buy both parties but only buy more GOP didn't make his defense of AB very convincing.
Budweiser isn't giving the entire political apparatus money for nothing. It gets something in return, regardless of who the people decide to elect to the majority.
That's the very definition of a corporate uniparty. Heads I win, tails you lose.
Their sales may be hurting, but how much will companies like Blackrock and Vanguard give them for advancing their ESG score?
I’d like to see this boycott continue- Bud Light sponsors the NFL Draft. I hear rumblings that many will boycott that too. I’d love to see that fail as well; anything associated with Bud Light.
Anheuser Busch was a giant donor to the GOP. This boycott could have been a deep state plot to hurt the GOP. Might be they were infiltrated by some bad actors.
If this was a plot to hurt GOP funding, then that works out for us as well. The RINOs receiving AB money can hang out to dry and We The People can redirect our own money towards directly funding MAGA candidates.
So we normal Americans, America-loving probably Christian patriots, are basically in charge of the economy. When we say "no", wokeism goes under. This is really big news. Now, we need to use this knowledge to pulverize and destroy the dems. We have to get behind the Republican candidates, especially Trump, to take away all the power the left has amassed. This includes ending the unions, perhaps, which have not been there for their members for decades, but instead represent greed and corruption. I bought a book in the early '90's, I think, or maybe in the 80's, that taught me how evil the NEA is. Still true, and they are now much stronger and more degenerate. Does everyone know about this? All parents should, at least!! Their children are now property of the State.
In my town, I went to the last election for School Board. I went in and there were three big old guys at a table, handing out ballots. Directly across from them was the ballot box. The only good candidate lost by nine votes. NINE VOTES. Do I think maybe these old guys stuffed a few ballots in there? Yes, I really do. My good friend had been on the board (mother of a West Point graduate and great patriot). She told me that to get elected she visited EVERY SINGLE house in our district -1800 of them. I realized I would never have the time to do that, but maybe I could think of another means to reach the people. I'm considering a radio show or podcast. IDK, I want to help my country. It is looking pretty bad right now.......God Bless America, please!!
seems to me like conservatives have always had the power, i.e. power of the purse, because we work hard, save what we can, help neighbors and family, maintain low profiles, and spend judiciously...the catalyst, iirc, was the backlash for MyPillow, when Lindell came out supporting Trump/vote fraud, and all the stores dropped Lindell's whole company...hafta admit now that BedBath&Beyond is going tits-up, i couldn't help myself a few days ago, as bbby closings are down to selling out all of the store fixtures, everything, i needed to use a restroom, so went in and asked store clerk if they had any MyPillows left, then used their restroom and left, grinning ear to ear...
Did these people turn into zombies ?
No, they’re still living , breathing … and self-aware.
At least, they should be!
But on paper- in the news, they’re all of the sudden stamped as “ transgender person/ supporter” because of that clownish person dressed as Audrey Hepburn with a cute tower of Bud Light .
It’s just too much. Why not talk one on one with that chick that just got hired who had this brilliant idea?
This, exactly. All of us can make a difference. What would happen if, say just 15% of AB's consumers stopped buying their products and never went back? Do you think that would get their attention? Bud Lite is already in decline, that's 15% they would have to regain from somewhere else. Anyone in sales or marketing will tell you it's way the hell lot harder to get new customers than it is to keep existing ones.
Matt Walsh has it right. Our boycotts don't work because they are too disorganized, fragmented, and short lived. Pick a target, rat pack the shit out of it, and keep up the pressure. Make an example of one company, others will quickly toe the line after that.
Sadly AB probably figured people would be pissed, slam them with complaints, and in 3-4 months go right back to buying their product. And I would bet they are correct.
The WE that is too disorganized, is not as aligned as many take for granted. The through line isn't "conservative values" as much as it is grievances and disenfranchisement that seems to be a commonality. But yeah, they'll be back to the bud light real soon. After all, primarily Americans are consumers. That's the real through line. More than patriotism anyway.
Let's use our power to obliterate the useless republican party, and form a new party inspired with a true agenda directed towards protecting our constitutional rights, ending the fed, restoring our justice system, rebuilding our corrupted institutions, and demolishing everything that promotes the woke clown-world agenda.

Every so often, We The People have to remind those who would be our "betters" that they are merely players on the stage, not the director.
Last I heard AB had lost $6 Billion over this fiasco. I hope they lose a lot more so the pain is not forgotten for a long time.
Amazing that being a decent human being is considered "conservative."
Celebrating masculinity shouldn't be affiliated with a political side. It should be called being an American.
Take the words back from them and control your own narrative.
I disagree. But I must be the only one that thinks this was a decision that was forced by the WH's.
Omg , I thought I was the only one here who felt that way! I mean, it’s so over the top, isn’t it??
Not really. I mean so many here keep reminding us "you are watching a movie" and "Patriots are in control" that it's not a stretch to think these unlikely stories are actually part of the WH script.
Exactly. Good point.
Unlikely stories that get mass media attention = Comms, always.
Just wondering how the WHs could "force" Bud to do such a stupid thing just to lose billions of dollars in sales? Now to me, the Jan 6 prisoners must be thinking this is a horror movie and I believe they would have more doubts than I do that the WHs control everything.
You may be correct, Don Junior is discouraging negativity towards Anheuser-Busch, as they are a net positive $$ contributor to the Republicans.
"For the first time in history, we just witnessed a beer commit suicide." Up vote for that one.
Shlitz committed suicide. They used to be best selling beer by a wide margin, now almost gone. Changed recipe to save money, everyone stopped drinking it.
Made a dick of themselves....
Perhaps Anheuser-Busch will recover, but Bud Lite is dead.
It will be buried ----- with Joe Rogan.
Why JR? I mean besides the obvious, Was there a new development?
Probably $$$$$
I don't know what you mean by that. I'm asking why you mentioned JR in regards to this. Just curious if JR said or did something in relation to the Bud Light news item that garnered your attention and that's why you mentioned him. That's all I was wondering. Nevermind though. Carry on, soldier.

Now maybe Don Jr 😞

Exactly. They're getting it on the front end prior to making these moves I do believe.

It all seems like a movie sketch , doesn’t it?
