I’m probably a lot younger then you. I stopped watching mid 2000’s. I liked guys like Kobe, Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitski but I saw like the NFL it was getting more pussified by the year.
Yup..not just basketball but must include ALL pro sports. Sucks, I miss it, but I refuse to boost their audience numbers and ad revenue to then spit in my face.
I have boycotted all professional sports since players started taking a knee for the national anthem with impunity. This includes MLB which I once loved.
Sports has been one of the few boycotts I've been able to participate in. Was a pleasure to cancel my yearly game passes and start enjoying more of my weekends away from the TV.
Haven't bought any related products or services since.
This is kind of surprising. I would have thought if any head coach would be out there buying into the liberal narrative, it would have been Phil Jackson.
I loved the NBA as a kid. Jordan, Pippin, Barkley, Shaq, Stockton, Payton etc. real basketball. Now you couldn’t pay me to watch that garbage.
same
All scripted Roman circus.

I thought that crowd ruined the game made great by the likes of Havelchek and West.

The elephant is that the so called oppression is debunked by the most popular sports on TV.
It’s like the emperor’s new clothes- non existent
Television contracts are now worth so much, they make millions in PROFIT before a single ticket is sold. They don't need fans anymore.
Sadly, not enough people are quitting watching. NBA games still top the ratings every night they're on.
The NFL is even worse.

Jackson is a known liberal, but he was apolitical on the job.
