Personally. I’d just transfer the ones who weren’t involved in anything nefarious or illegal, and may show promise, with the right environment and supervision, into either the U.S Marshals (Followed by a subsequent expansion of duties) or an entirely new entity. Because this chapter will likely dog any potentially reformed FBI for decades if not centuries.

Just abolish the FBI. States have their own individual Crime labs. Crimes across state lines can be dealt with between states as needed. Top down authority is bad.

I cannot see me ever trusting the FBI or think they are the 'good guys' again.

I know I don't know what's going on, but the lack of whistle-blowers makes me question the line 'there are more good than bad there...'

Here’s the catch: you can’t try to salvage the FBI agents with potential for good because each and every one of them joined the FBI with full knowledge that the agency enforced tyrannical legislation about income tax evasion, alcohol and drug prohibition. gambling, etc. Newer recruits joined even after it was known that the FBI illegally spied on and slandered Trump, put themselves on the censorship boards of social media companies so they could silence anti-tyrants, and oppressed PTA moms who stood up to woke/ tranny indoctrination. All FBI agents are lacking in principles to some extent. Clean them all out and start fresh with people who are authentically good who want to protect peoples’ rights.
