Analog to digital... Then why are tube amps still the best sounding. And before you bring up modelling amps, remember they got that "model" from a tube amp.
Analog > digital in many cases.
What ever happened to eating properly and giving your body nutrition to have a strong immune system?
Iodine, zinc, vitamin d and c all work wonders.
No money in that! And their medicines are the original life long subscription service.
Analog is the full sound wave. Digital is bits and pieces. It will never be as good. It's just easier to manipulate. Hmmm.....
Elon is not a real engineer so he wouldn't think about this
And analog works when the signal is weak. Digital is either all on or all off.
A little static never hurt anyone.
I've heard that an old fashion vinyl record on a real good phonograph is better sounding than a compact disc.
Sounds warmer.
Because it's more complete. There is simply more of it there, as digital recording just gives you a lot of bits.
Audiophiles will argue for and against that statement until the sun goes supernova and everything ends.
This is true.
You sound like my husband talking about the difference between mono and whatever the hell the other side is in the vinyl game.
Mono vs stereo is really easy; mono plays through every channel equally (so, if you imagine headphones, both left and right headphone) whereas stereo is able to play different instruments and directional audio within a wider space (you might hear vocals from the right and drums from the left, with a different instrument equally through both).
A "live" performance (catching the flu) is in most cases better than analog/digital (except rabies, anthrax, & tetanus), yes?
How about in computing, which clearly has had a bigger impact on society than reproduction of sound.
Well that is obvious. Which is why I said many cases and not all cases.
I think the real question is: Which one of us was being more pedantic? ;)
Unfortunately sarcasm doesn't translate very will with typing...
