"Twitter has a problem with foreign entities using bots to create new accounts and scraping (copying) large scale data from user accounts.
The new rules don’t affect your browsing or posting features on Twitter. They simply limit how many posts you can access based on the age of your account and if you pay for a subscription.
New accounts are severely limited so they can only scrape a small amount of data, making it less worthwhile.
As soon as the coders have measures in place to stop bot scraping they will normalize access."
I used to be able to click on a link and read. I am not on Twitter. Now I can't read anything without signing up. This is not just about new users....
Exactly. That started a couple of days ago.
They can't stop you from scraping if you're not logged in. So it makes sense based on the stated problem, but it still sucks.
My read is that Twitter is right now in the middle of moves and counter moves. Elon was forced to bring in a woke CEO for some reason. This probably allowed the Cabal to undo some of his bot purges. I am guessing we are entering crucial period in terms of disclosures, and hence this counter move is about neutralizing the Cabal's CEO's moves.
What if the woke CEO had been turned and was brought in as the source of Elons information on the tools the pedo death cult used to infiltrate Twitter with AI bots to be used for data mining, censorship and narrative control?
I think many here have wondered where that move would lead and that something about her hiring didnt seem quite right. We may have found out the purpose.
Definitely nothing is as simple a it looks from outside at this point in the Game.
Here’s one reasonable explanation I just posted on GAW:

I like this theory.
That seems like a dumb solution, because that just encourages people to run extra bots.
Did Elon purchase a lemon?
No he bought the battlefield. The importance of Twitter is larger than many realize.
People who should touch grass are being told to go touch grass but through capitalism, can't be more than a good thing unless addicted
This is inaccurate. I was rate limited within 20 min of random scrolling. The rate limit extended to me being unable to even view my past tweets, retweets and likes in my own profile - and other users said they experienced the same thing.
While I’m by no means a power user with tons of followers, my account is 14 years old. And I don’t pay for Twitter Blue - but even Twitter Blue users were complaining that they suddenly found themselves rate limited.
We shouldn’t be so quick to assume Elon is doing this for benevolent reasons. I would like to believe there’s no nefarious intent. But I’m not putting blind trust in the guy that’s:
developing a chip he wants implanted in people’s brains, and
hired some WEF-affiliated woman to be Twitter’s CEO (and btw, and many users are back to being shadow banned since her appointment)

Yes, I saw his tweet as well.
I’m saying my experience with twitter the past two days doesn’t align with the words he wrote and what he claims to be the case.
And there are many other users like me that also experienced the opposite of what he claimed.
Twitter's back end was not designed for this. Like the DeSantis thing - Twitter never had good video, that's why it bought Periscope, but Periscope was not designed to be a replacement for an actual video system, it wasn't supposed to be for hours-long streams, and the video part and the now-ancient html microblogging with SMS functionality part do not play nicely together.
Twitter has always been added on to and tweaked, it's never had a ground-up codebase rehaul AFAIK (would love corrections on this, some of the history is in the shade), and it's actually pretty hard to make something that was once very "light" with no significant layers on top into something that can constantly check a variety of statuses (verify, no verify, logged in, no logged in, new/egg, not new) without DDOS'ing itself.
Someone earlier asked if Musk had bought (after trying to walk out of the deal and being forced to take it) a lemon, as in a not great condition used car. I wouldn't say that - I would say Musk bought what was once a motorcycle, but has since had stuff added on to it to make it like a car. It looks mostly like a car, and even functions like one most of the time, but fixing stuff is going to be a nightmare, and someone should have probably returned it to being a motorcycle or completely disassembled it and used the parts to make an actual car, but it's hard to do that when millions of people are in the vehicle.
