Basically hunter thought plea deal meant immunity from all future charges due to double jeopardy. When he was informed the deal only covered the charges he was facing currently, and not any new charges that might arise from ongoing investigations, he backed out
Sounds to me more like Hunter (Defense) and Prosecution included language in the deal like this and the Judge is the one who put the kibosh on it. But I haven't read anything specific - just going by what OP is saying here and what others have surmised. It's as if the DOJ is in cahoots with the Hunter Defense, huh?

I hate the idea of sealed deals and trials behind closed doors. If the federal government is involved, it is directly within rights and our interests to know.
The judge asked that question and they admitted it was not common lpl...another fast one but this one failed
Where can we get a transcript of these procedings so we can track what happens...and know we are getting the truth.
I heard the plea deal was off, then was on again. Did the newest plea deal include this inclusive immunity, too? Did the prosecution agree to it? I would love to read the court docs.

Doesn't that kind of legal immunity typically require a full confession of the particular crimes? Never heard of someone being granted immunity for undisclosed crimes.
Brilliant, if you ask me. She would have been "damned if she did, and damned if she didn't". Neither confirm or deny is the only way out.
