Sound of Freedom hit $148,972,065 total over the weekend as you can see here:
https://www.boxofficemojo.com/release/rl4254237441/
This should have earned it a place in the 2023 Top 10 for In-Year Releases, placing it at #10 ahead of Fast X's $145,960,660, but as you can see here, instead, it's dropped it all the way down to #35 with just $21,987,370.
https://www.boxofficemojo.com/year/2023/?grossesOption=totalGrosses
That $21,987,370 figure isn't random. It's the amount the movie had earned up until July 6th, so 25 days worth of ticket sales seem to have vanished.
Could this be a glitch? An honest mistake like the API pulling the wrong data? Anything's possible, but it seems a strange coincidence that it would happen to this specific movie on the very day it would have entered the Top 10.
Too many glitches and issues for the viewers, that’s not random: pedophiles are being heavily assisted.
AMC theaters are owned by the Chinese, and it's the cover up that always gets you in the end isn't it?
Is Dominion counting ticket sales now?
my first thought.
Confirmation of just how deep the evil is in this country.
Fake just like the 81million votes lol... manipulation all the way.
Nice catch, throwaway.
This "glitch" is not because the subject matter deals with the sexual exploitation of children.
This "glitch" is because of WHO the CUSTOMERS are, the sick, twisted degenerates that sexually exploit children.
Go see it. Worth your time. Great movie.
The pedos might claims lots of tickets, reserved seats but no plan to watch it, so some theaters might show full but end up empty …
Sold out theaters sends a signal that the movie is popular and worth seeing. And it runs up the numbers on the box office charts. Most of the money goes to Angel Studios. Keep paying it forward.
I guess that works too, as they plan to have free on apps later…
That is odd.
When I clicked your link, SOF certainly is down in the #35 spot.
I went back to boxofficemojo and navigated to the 2023 table and I got updated results:
https://www.boxofficemojo.com/year/2023/?ref_=bo_yl_table_1
I'm wondering if boxofficemojo is showing an archived table under the total gross link...
Your link is for Calendar grosses which is slightly different from In-Year grosses – there's a drop down menu where you can navigate from one to the other. So far the Calendar grosses page appears to be up-to-date – it will be interesting to see if this page experiences a similar glitch in a few days when SOF enters the Top 10 for Calendar grosses.
word of mouth from the people that have seen the movie is going to be more powerful than any of their bullshit data. boomerang.
Apparently child trafficking related products are being sold on Amazon a la Wayfair or something
This SOF movie is a must-see. An assignment for everyone that loves life. Go see it today. Blow away their numbers, and bring a couple friends along.
Ha I just reposted your information under an article from Forbes on Fake Book.
They are touting both Barbie and Oppenheimer as per the BoxOffice mojo. Interestly there are a ton of comments underneath the article for people to go see the Sound of Freedom instead.
Three of us haven’t seen it yet so we’re going this week. I know a lot of people like me who haven’t had time so that’s lots of future potential to keep sales building
They're still showing estimated numbers for the weekend. Let's check back when the numbers are official.
There's other discrepancies between Gross and Total Gross, Indiana Jones and Elemental. If Gross < Total that is logical if the movie was released last year. If Total < Gross, that is a glitch that should not happen.
