I would not worry too much about this kind of legislation for long. If passed, the "black" market will be chock full of weapons that will be "lost in a boating accident" reported by the manufacturers. Supply is going to continue to grow. Weapons and ammunition makers are not going to stop selling their wares any more than alcohol producers stopped selling their products for long. I suspect that new manufacturers will appear to compete on whichever market is being frequented by purchasers. Prohibition by taxation is just another ineffective tool in the control structures.
There will be no 1,000% tax on anything. Democrats will be needing at least 400 seats in the US House and 80 in the US Senate. The only way to get those numbers is total voter fraud where Brandon wins reelection by over 300 million votes while President Trump pulls in 90 million.
There is not a chance in hell they will be able to pass a bill that will cost 1000 % tax. That would be totally illegal.
