I’m the gospel of John, Jesus repeatedly identifies himself with the name of God that was revealed to Moses in Exodus 3 at the burning bush.
As for the Elisha event, see Leviticus 26:21-22 for precedent in the law of beasts destroying children as divine judgment for sin. The language for the youths isn’t strictly used to refer to pre-pubescent children. It is used of 17 year old Joseph.
When they jeered at Elisha saying “go on up”, there’s likely an association with Elijah being taken up into heaven. They rejected his authority as a prophet of God. See also 2 Chronicles 36:16.
There is nothing divine about innocent children dying to prove anything what so ever. That’s like excusing the cabal killing children in false flags in order to make you surrender your guns, using fear and deception.
There is nothing divine about innocent children dying
The children in the text aren’t innocent.
What is your working definition for “children”? The “children” in the text were old enough to have the mental capacity to jeer the prophet of the LORD in a way that indicated that they doubted him as Elijah’s successor.
In another comment you said
And yes I personally believe the God of the Jews is not the God Jesus called father.
Let us presume your interpretation of the mauling in 2 Kings 2 is correct. If you believe that there is nothing divine about innocent children dying, then why did your god, who isn’t YHWH God of the Old Testament, allow those innocent children to die? By your own line of logic, you defined your god as not divine because he allowed those children to die.
Because humans have free will. The evil entity knows this, and has to obey the rules of the actual creator God. Yahweh is inferior to him, but superior to humans. Yahweh is simply a negative entity that is set on controlling humanity by means of fear and using his chosen as the political power structure of the world. Replace the words satan with Yahweh and all the sudden the cabal makes a lot of sense. Nowhere in the gospel did Jesus take a life, he saved them, he even resurrected Lazarus… where did YAhweh resurrect anyone, all he does is kill and kill, punish and enslave. Two different Gods. Christ was our path out of darkness. He showed us the way that our creator intended us to follow for spiritual advancement and the evolution of consciousness. In my perpetual perspective. Jesus Christ was a manifestation of the creator God of the universe. A avatar in the flesh. Yahweh on the other hand is a negatively inclined entity who is more or less a moral dictator. Remember just because YAweh did it, does not make it just. You can’t justify Evil by simply saying if YAweh did it, then is good.
Earlier I gave examples from the gospel of John where Jesus claimed to be the same as the God of the Old Testament. Here is another example where Jesus identifies himself as the son of man coming on the clouds of heaven which is a direct link to Daniel 7. When Jesus said that in Matthew 26, the high priest tore his robes and accused him of blasphemy.
Daniel 7:13-14; Matthew 26:64; Mark 14:62; Revelation 1:7

He even told the Jewish leaders, you are of your father the devil.
Now put those two ideas together. The high priest accused Jesus of blasphemy because Jesus claimed to be the son of the God of his Old Testament law.
The truth is that the Bible has plenty of data points where Jesus identifies himself with the YHWH of the Old Testament. No amount of side arguments can reconcile the fact that Jesus made these claims.
Here are five passages where Jesus used names or titles that are associated with God from the Old Testament. There are tons more:
"I am" - Exodus 3:14 and John 8:58: In Exodus 3:14, God identifies Himself as "I AM WHO I AM" (YHWH). In John 8:58, Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I am," using the same "I am" phrase, indicating his eternal nature and divine identity.
"Shepherd" - Psalm 23 and John 10:11: Psalm 23 refers to God as the Shepherd. In John 10:11, Jesus calls himself the "good shepherd," indicating his care and guidance for his followers.
"Alpha and Omega" - Isaiah 44:6 and Revelation 22:13: In Isaiah 44:6, God uses the term "Alpha and Omega" to describe Himself. In Revelation 22:13, Jesus refers to himself as the "Alpha and Omega," signifying his eternal and all-encompassing nature.
"First and Last" - Isaiah 41:4 and Revelation 1:17: Isaiah 41:4 contains the phrase "I am the first and I am the last." In Revelation 1:17, Jesus uses the same phrase to describe himself, emphasizing his eternity and divinity.
"Lord of lords" - Deuteronomy 10:17 and Revelation 17:14: Deuteronomy 10:17 refers to God as the "Lord of lords." In Revelation 17:14, Jesus is referred to as the "Lord of lords" and the "King of kings," highlighting his supreme authority.
These passages suggest a parallel between the titles and names used for God in the Old Testament and how Jesus described himself in the New Testament, emphasizing his divine nature and identity.
I’m not an atheist. I believe in the creator, and my views are not compatible with atheism when it comes of creation. I adopted teachings of Jesus Christ because it makes sense to me. That makes me a Christian.
God is sovereign over all. He gave life to everything and he can take life away from everything - and He would be entirely justified in doing so. He created, He can destroy. Consider the Flood.
Sounds like you want to make your own rules. Good luck with that.
I’m not making my own rules. I’m simply observing and using common sense and historic writing that supports my theory. Yahweh might have made humans as a type of Sub creator God. But he is by no means the architect of the universe or the God Yeshua calls father.
Consider this.. a carpenter can make things out of wood, but he simply uses the raw material and changes it, to make something new out of existing material, but the carpenter didn’t make the wood, he is not it’s creator.
The two scenarios are completely different and the times of occurance (dispensations) are also completely different. This is a known heresy but I cant recall what it's called
Heresy in the words of who.. Jesus was very clear in his message about harming children. And yes I personally believe the God of the Jews is not the God Jesus called father. He even told the Jewish leaders, you are of your father the devil.
Yea because the Pharisees didn't believe in YHWH they believed in their beliefs of YHWH. Are you saying that neither Jesus nor Isaiah or Jeremiah or Ezekiel or King David etc were praying to / referring to YHWH?
Jesus came with a message of love, the God of the Jews is clearly a savage who is concentrating on domination over humanity using his “chosen”
As his tools to fulfill this goal. Q says it’s biblical for a reason…. Nothing in Jesus’s message matches the savagery of the Old Testament and that God. The only part of the New Testament is the parts that come after the gospel. And I believe that was entirely on purpose to bring back the idea that Jesus was the son of Yahweh and thus establishing the tribe as dominant once more. The gospel contradicts the nature of Yahweh in the Old Testament. The first canonical New Testament Bible was exactly about this.
There's a nuance to it, the relation of the OT and NT, but I'll let it go for now, not ready to debate but can you link me to the first canonical NT? never heard of this
There is no physical book. The only things that exist is the commentary made in opposition because it compares the two view points, so we can still know what the books contained due to the comparison. Everything done by Marcion was burned and destroyed.. as usual …
Jesus believed Gods laws of the Old Testament. He didn’t abandon them.
Proverbs 13:24. About not sparing the rod.
By what you’ve posted here you’re very confused about several things, mentioned already. Almost scary.
Jesus never calls himself Yahweh or Elohim or anything the Jews called their God. The only similarity is the burning bush and God saying say that I am sent you. And Jesus telling the Jewish leaders that even before Abraham was born I Am. That’s it. Jesus never calls his father by the name of the God of the Jews, mind you… he was Jewish himself.

Correct. They weren't young boys - they were young men. Similar to a gang of ANTIFA coming at Elisha.

At no point does Jesus call himself Yahweh.

There is no question about Jesus being divine. But I believe Yahweh to be an evil being. The first Christians also shared this view.
Sounds like your a student of the New Atheism. Dawkins, Hitchens, Harris, etc...
They've all been dealt with handily.
I’m not an atheist. I believe in the creator, and my views are not compatible with atheism when it comes of creation. I adopted teachings of Jesus Christ because it makes sense to me. That makes me a Christian.

When my children are misbehaving, I yell at them, and verbally and physically punish them.
When they are being sweet and kind, I buy them gifts, give them lots of physical and verbal love.
Am I two different entities?
Your argument does not prove your hypothesis.
At what point did Jesus tell you to punish your children to discipline them by physical harm.
Jesus believed Gods laws of the Old Testament. He didn’t abandon them. Proverbs 13:24. About not sparing the rod. By what you’ve posted here you’re very confused about several things, mentioned already. Almost scary.
