I did the same. I called into Fidelity some time ago, but I never recall getting a confirmation. I did call direct using the number above and she registered my affirmative and said I will get sent a confirmation

Look for a broker, whether online or in-person. See what suits your situation. I am an extreme novice.

I voted through Fidelity several times before, but did not get notification from them about the latest vote. Called Alliance Advisors at (877) 728-4996 and voted "FOR" through them. Very easy (only need to give them your name and zip code), but wondering what is going on with Fidelity not notifying me this time around.
If you Direct Registered your shares your brokerage house won't notify you.

Called in and was able to confirm that my street shares were voted correctly.

What are we voting to extend, and what bad will happen if this fails? Honest question.
We are extending the deadline to complete a merger. DWAC is set to merge with TMTG (Trump Media and Technology Group) We have been delayed due to the SEC "investigating" and other non-sense! DWAC has until Sept 7th, 2023 to complete the merger. This will extend us til 9/7/24. We shouldn't need that much time as we have worked out a deal with the SEC and most items are ready to go. We have only had one other extension. The vote for each extension goes on for a month or two so it is a long process. BUT we are almost done. WE will have ONE more vote and that will be for the MERGER! Hopefully that will be happening soon too!

For someone who isn't invested in this & just wants to learn what is going on, why is there a call to push the extension? What is the extension for? What happens if it is, or is not, extended?
Extension necessary because SEC launched investigation into trump linked stuff and refused to comment on a filing or give feedback.
If it does not extend past the 8th if this month, the deal liquidates and pays out 10$ / share. Most people probably bought shares in the 50s, and possibly as high as 175$.
Additionally it would deprive TMTG of roughly 1.2 billion dollars in funding which they intend to use to create a number of products, including a streaming service a la Disney+ / news, payment system a la PayPal (one day), and to improve/ advertise TruthSocial.
That certainly needs to be extended from the sounds of it.
