Thing is, Trump does not have the power to arbitrarily jail people, there is a process. If you have committed CRIMES then you will have AMPLE opportunity to explain IN COURT.
The fact he expects to be jailed is nothing more than an admission he is a CRIMINAL.
So sweat Milley SWEAT! because the LAW is coming for you, not Trump.
I have a feeling it won't be Trump or a standard DOJ process. It will be military courts based on the amount of cabal members who have committed treason. Quick and swift military tribunals. No way to get through all those people with how slow standard courts are. Plus treason is tried in Military Courts I believe.
I would prefer that, yes, I think we have seen how unfit the civilian law process is. The military will have clear prima-facie evidence to rule on, there can be no argument in the case of Milley anyway, he admitted informing a putatively hostile foreign power that he would mutiny against the chain of command when he told China he would warn them of action Trump might take and would ignore the order, he is TOAST in a military tribunal for saying that, and who can argue? it's not like he had an unconstitutional order to reject, he was talking about legitimate orders he would ignore. Clear case of lock-him-up I'd say. My only fear is I might not get to watch him cry about it live on TV

Of course. First thing I thought of when I saw the headline.
"I'm very obviously a literal traitor who announced he would tip off China if the US military were ever to plan an attack. That is a textbook definition of treason. So I expect to be jailed for treason."
What he doesn't expect is the punishment he deserves.
I wonder if Milley would try to claim native American status to get half penalties.
Although, I don't think you can split a death sentence in half and that's what telling a hostile foreign country that you'd notify them if we were to attack them should be.
If you are willing to directly aid a hostile foreign country, wheel past the minimum penalty (10 5 years, $10K IIRC) and go straight to maximum.
Milley could be informed he will be subject to Solomonic justice: cut the baby in half. Kill one half and send the other to the orphanage. (Tasteless humor. Not to be confused with a hasteless tumor.)
Conspiracy (or intent) to commit treason. Being a military man in a military responsibility, he would necessarily be subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice. If it devolves into simple incarceration, he could probably have his rank and honors stripped from him.
That minimum penalty is a joke. It was instituted when the avg life expectancy was about 45, IIRC.
Among the necessary revisions to the Constitution is an upgrade of that treason penalty. Because so much more is arguably now at stake than it was 230 years ago for betraying this country, IMHO a minimum of 20 years and $100k fine would be a good starting point. That's 20 actual years, without possibility of parole, pardon or commutation.
"But see.....I did a special type of treason though...and well, I had to because all this white rage MAGA...I did it for all you, and well me, really....my hope is that I am jailed for treason, since I am well aware that the actual consequence of treason is death."

Which means they got away with it for a long time already.

I think these swamp creatures are projecting, because that's who they are and that's their modus operandi.
