So when a senator dies in office they can have the honor of lying in state in the Capital Rotunda - wrinkled flag and all. I'm sure Feinstein will as well.
How long before everyone in CONgress starts screaming that the republicans must surrender and pass a gigantic bill full of money for Ukraine, no wall, and all-you-can-eat pork for the uniparty? They will use this and say Feinstein won't be able to receive the honors she deserves if the govt is shut down.
Bank on it.
Edited for people who do not know what I mean. During shutdowns that the dems do not like, they do everything they can do to make the republicans look bad (both sides do that). One of the things they like to do is shut down things like National Parks, DC monuments like the Lincoln Memorial, and pretty much every government office and service. Even for monuments that are all outside and require no govt employees - they will chain them up and actually have police guarding them.
The uniparty will REEE because nobody will be allowed in the Rotunda to say their farewells (or whatever they really want to say).
No, they don't, because if they think they can score political points with a shutdown, they will let it shut down. The media will run cover for them 24/7.
This is the MO.
Going to go with the shame attack It’s predictable. Fire away bitches!
None of it matters. The match is already lit. Let’s watch it burn.
Feinstein deserves whatever she gets. Even when dead
Edit - You asked about funerals, not laying in state. I missed that. Reps usually don't get large funerals because there are hundreds of them, and usually if they have distinguished themselves in some way they would likely be higher than a rep. There are exceptions though - Elijah Cummings being the latest one I can recall.
Also, in the House everyone is up for reelection every 2 years. In the Senate it is every 6. That really means Senators have to defend their seats much less often - especially because it is usually harder to just go straight to the Senate unless you are an "insider". Senators are usually in office much longer than Representatives (except for people like Pelosi). They have more of a chance to do something than Reps do. Plus if you look at that link above you will see most of the Senators on that list were also Representatives - so they have even more time in office.

Well then, the dems need to agree to our terms to avoid a shutdown then. Simple

Can't wait for the media to be hit with treason charges as well.
You are spot on. It looks like white hat timing to me.
Indeed. Good time to have a friendly chat with some unelected, eh?
White house just told everyone to turn off their work phones and provide personal numbers.

National Seashores also.
Tuming is odd, did she die naturally, or Clintonally
The wrinkled flag club
Trademark that…would love to see a tee shirt with all the traitors on it
Yep
I heard Feinstein's family wants a crisp and wrinkle-free flag on the coffin, so they've opted for the flag of the CCP.
Why don't congressmen get huge funerals ? Only senators do? There's been several congressmen that have died in the past 6 years.
They can, and have. The family has to want it, and I think CONgress has to authorize it. It looks like Presidents don't need authorization though.
