Don’t ever buy gear from North Face outdoor apparel and gear company again.

North Face is woke......... Never buy their brand. I even judge people wearing their brand. When I see North Face brand on their apparel, I automatically think they are woke until proven otherwise.
The same is true for Yeti products too. Yeti is woke.
I remember Patagonia going anti-Trump and super woke too. I do a lot of camping and fly fishing and am keeping track and will NEVER buy these brands again. Also haven’t been in a Dick’s or any of their offshoots since they stopped selling guns. I think Field & Stream and Public Lands stores are their offshoots.
Are there any outdoor or sporting brands/companies left that aren’t douchebags?
I don't know their political stances but Scheels is far superior to any of the other sporting goods stores.
Thanks for the suggestion! Never heard of them before. I’ll check them out. 👍🏻
F*ck Dick's...lol
I steer away from any product that makes the product about marketing their product.
Champion is really bad at this too, plastered over all of their apparel. I would literally choose the sweatshops out of China that makes generic and plain t shirts than the sweatshops out of China that makes a major brand that advertises itself all across my clothes.
We all agree that 'being woke leads directly to going broke'. However, these wilderness apparel and recreational product companies disguise themselves under the veil of being true outdoors men. This overlaps into the hunting/fishing/ and trapping professions...... I'm going to say this right now. Not only does 'being woke lead to being broke', but it also leads to personal harm and death.
Wilderness activities are inherently tied to the hip of firearm defense. Yet, many of these outdoor product companies have become woke and anti-gun. It makes no sense and is contrary to being in the wilderness.
I've thought about all these woke 'outdoors' companies for a while with their imagery and promotion of people wearing their brand for outdoor recreational activities like biking and hiking in wilderness areas. All too many of their customers tend to be leftist woke city folk and are terribly naive about the dangers of wilderness exploration. What do I mean by this?
According to NamUs (National Missing and Unidentified Persons System), more than 600,000 persons go missing in the United States every year. Anywhere between 89 percent to 92 percent of those missing people are recovered every year, either alive or deceased. But how many of those disappear in the wild is unclear. Neither the Department of the Interior, which oversees the National Park Service, or the Department of Agriculture’s US Forest Service keeps track.
For National Parks he estimates anywhere from 1200 to 1600 people per year. However, this estimate doesn't come from the National Park Service, but from private researchers.
Think about that for a moment. Why are there all of these disappearances?
How many of these missing people go into the wilderness with a firearm for protection? I bet you it is next to none of them. On top of this, increasingly we are seeing the true colors of many of these 'wilderness' companies like Dick's Sporting Goods that have removed their firearm sales to appease their 'woke' customer base.
The story of Jacob Gray who rode his bicycle during a rainstorm into Washington state’s Olympic National Park and vanished. The 22-year-old’s bike and camping gear were discovered near the Sol Duc River, but otherwise there was no trace of him. Several months of search-and-rescue missions uncovered nothing.
I bet you he never had a second thought about the dangers lurking in the wilderness. Instead, with his bicycle he plunged into a wilderness not much different than when he use to plunge into the ocean surfing back when he lived in Santa Cruz, CA.
Think of all the wilderness disappearances. To me this is analogous to the 'Ant-lion' as unwitting ants run about never knowing the ant before them just disappeared. The wilderness is not all that it is portrayed to be. And promoting to the woke endangers too many people.
If a woke gets lost in a forest, does anybody hear it?
LOLs. That's a good one. They might be lunch for Sasquatch.
Depends if they have cell service or not.
Kek dude, real forest won't, so I guess that's the answer...
Why would they be anywhere without cell service. No FB Instagram crap.
What are your feelings about R E I ?
They're woke af too.
REI are fucksticks. They stopped selling camelbak because the parent company sells firearms.
Fuck rei
I heard that they are 'woke'. It use to be a fine company back in early 1980s. Don't take it from me though.... Check them out for yourself.
As far as I know, REI has their own problems. However, I need to test shoes (width issues) before I buy them and REI has the boot and trailrunner selection with a good return policy at least.
I do better than that. I refuse to buy any product that casts black Only actors in their adds. Just make a note and buy something else.
Found two bags in my closet that I forgot I bought 20 years ago - Patagonia. Still in great shape - de-branded them.
You turn them into PataGoneAreYa?
KEKITY KEK!
Best idea so far, debrand EVERYTHING.
North face is overpriced garbage. Only worth the money second hand, and I ain't paying them shit that way.
I used to like North Face. I don't anymore. No more purchases from them. I won't buy anything from Patagonia. Maxpedition has the best made bags and packs. Everything they make is ridiculously rugged. I have several backpacks from them, as well as pouches and luggage like stuff for travel. My first backpack from them came from 2008 where I spent the entire year overseas. Since then, I have used it daily for work and it has continued around the world with me. Not one sign of wear and tear. Their bags are the best there is, period.

Guess they want to make people boycott the store with products they actually use when there are limited to no other quality brands doing the same products. Or is there an alternative people can offer instead of saying, yep patagonia sucks, the North face sucks, yeti sucks. Ok... which ones are reliable??
Cordova Coolers - Veteran Owned

Reliability is easy to search up; many people who are enthusiasts in any given hobby or require for their jobs don't even use major brand stuff because major brand stuff tends to cheap out a lot more.
Example would be heavy duty carabiners. You can get some heavy ass duty reinforced steel carabiners with locks for close to the same prices as major brand equivalents.
It just takes time to search for reviews, impressions and expertise.
I've had a Wenger SwissGear backpack for decades - is Wenger woke? If not, check them out.
