Driving down rt60 heading west into Springfield MO there is a gun store with a giant killdozer mural painted on the side of a shipping container out front.
You're talking about my neck of the woods partner.
I'm flyiing into Springfield in a couple weeks actually. Hubby's annual Ozarks porsche race is coming up.
Off Interstate 44, near Cuba, MO on Route 66 is a place called Missouri Hicks and they have the best barbecue I’ve ever had in my life—without question. (And I’ve made it a point to eat a lot of barbecue.). I don’t have to pass that way anymore but one day I’m heading back to that restaurant just to go. Even the coleslaw is perfect. And the beans. And the place is right out of a movie. Totally authentic.
Have you been to the Uranus Fudge Factory? Loved that place.

Remember - "The best fudge comes from Uranus!"
When you walk in the door, all the employees call out "Welcome to Uranus!" If you guys some fudge, they hand it to you..."Thank you for letting me pack your fudge today."
They're all in, and the newspaper they put in the bag when you pay has goofy articles, but also kinda functions as a local paper too.
Cool place.
I've ordered some online from there and it was good! I've forgotten all about the place.
Not many miles down the road, a farmer off I-44 has a huge hand-painted sign for all to see that says Arrest Hillary. He changes the message every so often and has a smaller one across the interstate that says FJB. That part of the state is based, as is most of MO.
Did they have their flag flying? They usually fly a 30’x50’ flag.
Next time I'm over that way I've got to stop in and browse. Lots of cool themed firearms. https://www.mountainsideoutfitters.com/
And they make flame throwers!!
