TBH. At one time I considered myself to be middle ground. But not so much anymore. Lately I feel like a constitution thumping, religious, conservative.
Aren't allowed to question? Really? Says who? ROFL what planet are you on?
First, MSM and deep state have been against the church even after the deep church made themselves known. Second, internally there have been constant doctrinal criticism from Catholics at all levels since the travesty of Vatican I. Just because you don't know about something doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
Yes. Or else people jump down your throat, call you Satanic/"Victim of the devil", X/Y/Z exhibit A: you.
So, again: Do you support the Catholic church, or do you acknowledge that there are at least SOME religious institutions that could possibly be corrupt and therefore disenfranchise people? Because then you're going to have to justify why those corrupt institutions disenfranchising people makes them "a victim of the devil".
Or will you go the easy, low brow route of saying "everyone is a victim of the devil" without further explanation -- which while technically true, is not an adequate response to what they posted.
You need a lot of help, amigo. You haven't seen my posts where I call out the corruption in the Catholic Church. Been doing so for years, not just here. I don't see logic in the rest of your diatribe unfortunately; you use emotives and insults, set up straw men arguments and generally make very little sense to me, sorry. I have always consistently supported Christ's church, while criticizing the administration as corrupt commies. Not sure why that's hard to understand, unless you're stuck in some weird binary paradigm.
Simple Because you are a victim of deception. You're overthinking, or actually, over-dramatizing. You have deep hurt maybe, and need to sort out and separate, not confound and confuse. Victims of deception are victims of the deceiver. Nothing complicated there.
I was very anti religion, and now am very pro religion... in a very open minded way. I have embraced Christianity for a number of reasons, but I still love many teachers outside the Bible as well; many that some would consider to be at odds with the Bible, but I do not.
What I am saying is that I understand your reservation, and i have treaded very carefully for a long time myself. Yes I think there is truth outside the Bible, but I no longer see any reason to have reservations about embracing it.
That's not to say I live Biblically, but I think I'm getting closer.
I can be quite detailed about why I choose Christianity over many other belief systems, even though I appreciate them all.
Some are closer to my heart than others, but Christianity, or Christ, is the heavy lifter that we will rally behind for this battle.
Afterwards I think many veils will be lifted, and there may be a bit less mystery around the topic of Christ and the Bible and why it all means so much
While you ponder religion and your spirituality....
Don't let the cabal decide your relationship with god. Remember how everything is hijacked? I feel like Christianity was too.
I feel like it's possible to be against sin but not villify the sinner. And I think that's what they turned Christianity into a couple decades ago & at times throughout history. Using Christianity against itself like they do everything else.
As an example of that: I don't agree with gay people & their lifestyle. But it's a sin and we're all sinners in the eyes of god. Who is to say your sin is worse than mine? I don't need to vilify gays for the way that they choose to live their life because god will judge them himself one day.
I hope I'm not being too vague or abstract, I am still half asleep.
My point is that your idea of religion doesn't have to be their idea of religion. Jesus walked with the lowest forms of life, he didn't ostracize them. You don't have to let the Cabal's idea for Christianity fester in your mind so that you're judging yourself and feeling ostracized yourself.
"aren't are not Uber religious?" double negative, so you are Uber religious? and Uber religious means what? you take an Uber to and from religious services or you believe in the tech company so much it is like a new religion? so confused...
Organised religions are an excuse for psychos to have wars. They organise themselves into "Religion-1" and then declare that all those in "Religion-2" are infidels and must be wiped out. Or frequently the warfare even splinters into Religion-1a v. Religion-1b.
The other problem with organised religions is that they create a hierarchical barrier between you and god. You are not allowed to talk directly to god! Imagine that! Instead you have to go through a controlled intermediary appointed by the religion, archbishop/vicar/whoever.
I am not a "member" of any "religion" yet I have spoken to god directly on more than one occasion. Well I say spoken but actually god is pretty overwhelming so really it is more like an awesome blast where words are not necessary.
I wonder if the OP was trying to say "do you guys feel going to church is a waste of time because you get no inspiration from the sermon or the singing of hymns" but you are still staunch followers of Christ and his message?
Not only am I not religious I think the non-existence of god is the ultimate red pill for conservatives. I suspect existence ('the universe') is infinite and eternal therefore the creation myth is just that: mythology. I know few others who share these thoughts. It is lucky I found my honey pie who agrees.
There are no atheists in a foxhole.
Truth!!
TBH. At one time I considered myself to be middle ground. But not so much anymore. Lately I feel like a constitution thumping, religious, conservative.
Love it thumper
I am not religious, I am a follower of Jesus!!
Amen. Jesus Christ is The One that God is well pleased with. He performs all things for us. There is no one else to follow.
What makes you socially liberal? If it has anything do with supporting a welfare state, I am not one of you.
Yes, "socially liberal" is an awfully vague term. "Not throwing the first stone" at an adulterer is one thing; LBJ's "Great Society" is another.
I’ve been disenchanted by religious institutions for a long time, so I consider myself spiritual, not religious
I consider you a victim of the devil and will pray for you
So you support the Catholic church and the Pope?
That would be one of the religious institutions that have been deeply corrupted, yet we aren't allowed to question.
Aren't allowed to question? Really? Says who? ROFL what planet are you on?

Then why would you accuse someone of being a "victim of the devil" for being disenfranchised by religious institutions, "amigo"?
Sounds pretty emotional to me.

This view point by the OP is so confusing to me.
Sorry bruh, I bank my soul 100% on Jesus Christ. God is my creator and I shall deny him nor HIS creation none!

I can understand your plight. Especially with regard to religious institutions. Keep seeking.
Ask and you shall receive. Knock and the door will be opened ✌️
Either seek truth or seek death!
Right there with you. & even more so after reading many of the replies to your post (eye roll)
Yeah man. The zealot gene is strong with this group. Closed-minded truth seekers?
Lol, well said🐸👌
Not many. The kind of people you describe are generally too busy sitting on fences to do anything useful to help save the country.
Anti-religion, mostly conservative
Jesus is the way. You really do have a better attitude about life and optimism when you know where you’re headed, no matter what!
Let’s just say that Trump has more than Faith, he knows. And now you do too.
I appreciate religion a lot more than I used to.
It doesn't help when atheists have created a theistic deity named atheism.
John 14:6 – “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.”

Waah, somebody doesn't wike it!
