Mad Max Maxine Waters proposed legislation to seize the accounts to pay down the debt with the promise to provide monthly payments. Of course, that means that when you die, there is no inherited value and the Feds keep it all.
The only difference here is that the Dems can avoid taking the hit by having their National Socialist functionaries do the heavy lifting. If you haven't already, move your investments away from the big three houses.

I’m in exactly the same boat, 20k in and don’t want quit my job. I ended up “borrowing” 10k because I’m struggling right now. They automatically deduct about $200 a month to pay it back. They win… but I will at least have new tires on my and wife’s cars for the winter…
During covid they allowed you to take a one time withdrawal up to 100k out of your 401k penalty free. The wife and I took advantage. Still had to pay taxes though.
They pump fund into so called “greentech”, which includes plenty of startups building API integrations between themselves to usher the CO2 measurement despotism which they can fake the way they want, with likely 1 control center for everything.
All these woke startups will have no value and will collapse massively at once as soon as the climate scam becomes exposed.
These money will be wasted and will disappear in 1 day following the avalanche of bankruptcies within the “greentech” industry.
My husband and I both had bad experiences in the past with 401Ks. We were married before but long before I met him I had no use for 401Ks.
When we met he was in the middle of of a bad divorce. He really only had about 10K in his 401K. They screwed him when he wanted to close it under hardship.
To make a long story short both he and I refused the 401K on our jobs. Neither job did a match so I was able to save our own money. My boss hounded me for years and I would say no. I told him eventually the government is going to seize it. I also know the more people the company has in irhe 401K the company gets huge money. I wasn't going to let him profit on money.
We joined the 401K at 0% so when the companies dump once a year we get money which is their money not mine. So we don't really care what happens to it.
I have saved my own money you just have to discipline yourself. I have no debt and my house is paid off.
Everyone can do it and trust me there were times when we made little over minimum wage. We just did with less many years. No vacations or spending money just to have the next best thing.
