fire trucks here play Santa and give kids presents every year for decades, but to play Hallelujah from large speakers never heard of. I wanna move to your town! :)
Wish it were here. I feel so un Christmas. Still cant find work in my field. I moved last year on 12/23. Just me my son using my jeep. We were too tired and sad to care we would never see the family home again. This year was supposed to be better. Feel bad my sons signed up for OT on what should be a paid holiday. Thankful though that he is well liked by the owner bosses n coworkers. And that he is ambitious. After 10 years of caregiving his grandparents and gaming ..I thought he wouldnt get out there🤣. I had such Hope's for this Christmas. Maybe next year!
Awesome…,but mark my words…some Blue Haired Karen will complain at the next City Council. Asking them why they are spending Tax Payer money on Christian focused programs. Anyway…Merry Christmas
Probably more like a hajib wearing muslim in my town. I live a few blocks away from an old episcopalian church that predated the revolutionary war (British soldiers are buried the graveyard there, and every evening the bells rang from the tower. Then the new immigrants (non-Christian) complained and shut that off. That's why it was so special to see a Christian holiday greeting.
So sad. I became a Christian at a 350 year old Episcopal church. My daughter is buried amongst the centuries of Christians. I loved the litergy and knew I was in a holy place. Then the greater church endorsed satanic sacrifices.
His servants would often find him in tears as he composed. When he completed “Hallelujah,” he reportedly told his servant, “I did think I did see all Heaven before me, and the great God Himself seated on His throne, with His company of Angels.”
Great story, thank you! Remember, if you ever encounter anybody complaining about Christian expressions near Christmastime, --- Christmas is a FEDERAL holiday. So mangers and nativity scenes on government property are perfectly reasonable. Don't let anybody bully you into thinking otherwise.
Dont take christ out of christmas. Replacing it with xmas is what they what. Dont think you meam anything by it. It is easier to type. Just a thought. Xmas was introduced a loooong time ago and i think it was one of their first atemps to disassociate. Then came "happy holidays". The fight is real.
Glad you had such a good expeirence. Would love to see that in my own town.
Amen , and you are correct they really started pushing the Xmas campaign 50 years ago , it was totally to take Christ out of the reason for the season .. thank you for standing even when it’s not popular and you did it with grace . I agree, it was not done intentionally or disrespectfully by the poster , however it does become a habit to people Christian or otherwise ! We need to tear down their brainwashing techniques!
Hallelujah! Jesus we trust in you!
Amen

The lights were beautiful but the music really made it awesome.

Do not ever give up.
We will pray that God sends you a beautiful blessing for Christmas this year. Keep the faith.
Amen
What part of the world do you live in?
Praying for you both! I believe your situation is about to be vastly improved by God and POTUS changing our world. 🙏❤️
Me, too! And I live in a Very Red Conservative small town...
That is beautiful. Thanks for sharing it and the hope it represents, fren. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Yes, it did bring me hope. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well.
I moved from NY state (where they removed anything Christmas from the public schools) to the Bible belt here in NC
It is so nice to actually see them named “Christmas” parades. And everyone says prayers before meetings or store openings etc here
I ❤ the Bible belt
👏👏👏
That's awesome!!!

Looking forward to the day that changes!!
Evidence you don’t live in a blue city.
I do live in a blue town so it was even more of a gift. It was the remnant I suppose.
A Christmas miracle of sorts. With God all things are possible. 🙏
Aw. We want that. Every neighborhood!!
Wouldn't that be great.

God Bless your town, and your first responders, and especially: YOU!
Thanks! Merry Christmas fren!
Oh I would love that! It just makes everyone happy and feel closer to one another. Props to your local community!

That awful pop crap song hallelujah is anti-God. If they play Handel's Messiah, then I'd better understand your happiness.
Cool
Amen. I would have LOVED to seen and heard it. God has let you know he is still there in the midst. God bless.
You just took it to a whole other level and ran with it ...okay lol. I am not sure anyone on this post can meet your level lol. Catch another post?
