That movie (and the book, too) really mangled my emotions. I hope any neural implants are thoroughly, long-term clinically tested on a few brave volunteers before they're hijacked by the "Speed of $cience."
Funny thing is, it was because he was so stupid and "inept" that they were going to insert his Brazilian M.I. wife in his place. (Which was the plan all along)
I think she fled to Canada when he entered the hospital (don't remember why), but ever since he's been out and has suddenly become so "smart", she is no longer even mentioned.
Excellent to see the “Flowers for Algernon” reference. Such an outstanding novel, and a more horrific fate, Incannot imagine. Makes Stephen King’s work seem like a Jr High assignment in comparison
The Sleestak Carville hasn't had any affect on anything ever done. His power came from elections stolen for Clinton who the braindead in this country supported with smiles. We have some seriously stupid people who we are obliged to recognize as Americans. They hopefully soon will feel the pain of waking up.

Flowers for Algernon. Nice reference. One of the first stories I cared about.
My theory is his hospitalization for depression was actually intensive stroke rehab therapy with newer drugs...
Cannot explain that part...
