There were some digs long ago that concluded that K-Mart's real business was drug/human/child trafficking and the rest is just optics. Thats why they can afford to take losses - like "ship this/that for free" or undercut prices - because the real money comes from trafficking business.
Maybe at the end but KMart dominated retail for decades. Once a competitor to Sears until Walmart AND Wall Street upended both KMart and Sears. The Wall Street aspect was a similar, very profitable implosion from within much like Toys R Us, Blockbuster, KB Toys, FAO Shwarz and Sears. All destroyed to make those who control Wall Street a lot of money on the way down.
...ment for more than just the flight logs
