My hope is in the Lord alone. Humanity (unregenerate) is not something I will ever trust. Even truly regenerated Christians make sinful choices, but I will be thankful for those who follow Christ and take up His call and will fight for what is true and righteous. And I will continually lift them in prayer.
It isn’t precisely thrilling that the presidential car is called “The Beast” or that Kushner’s property was located at 666.
It's called a beast because it's so huge.
And when I buy property, I buy it for the location and the property, not the address number arbitrarily assigned to it FFS. It stands to reason that the same would be just as true of a wealthier person buying property, who is also the son-in-law of the greatest patriot the nation has seen in centuries.
(As if a different property was actually more ideally suited to Kushner at the time, but he instead chose to forsake the ideal one and go for the number? Extremely unlikely.)
Oh, I get those possibilities, and that the two things I pointed out don’t necessarily indicate anything.
It still doesn’t thrill me.
One of the key foci of critical thinking is to not get wholly invested into a point of view, yes? I definitely think that they’re acting on the side of righteousness. I don’t know that, though. I think Pence is on that side, too. Others don’t. Nobody knows.
Definitely. Only Christ will bring the final judgement in His time and His way. Satan and his minions have been attempting to thwart Gods plan since the beginning of time, yet have always failed.
Could be depending on your interpretation of end times prophesy. I grew up dispensational pretrib but having since studied more I would lean more towards postmil/amil. So I look for a final return of Christ and final judgement only.
What if we are to build the new world depicted here ourselves?
So far God and Jesus have seemed very content to let us make and live with our own choices and exercise our God-given free will for over 2000 years...why would they suddenly swoop down from the heavens now and fix our shit themselves, just when we're about to demolish worldwide corruption and slaughter?
Nothing in the Bible indicates a pre-tribulation rapture. That’s just modern church dogma. In my opinion, it grew from a fear and denial that suffering and oppression could ever come against us.
Christians should hope that it does, and that they stand through it! Therein lies the blessing!
Kirk Cameron may be a decent guy, but it doesn’t mean his theology is sound
What seems more likely to me is that once we have prepared the way for the king, through the armies of The Enemy, then He will come and make war with the ones that are beyond us, and establish His throne.
Because they enjoy not feeling responsible. That’s why it was so easy for Saul to trick Christians back into Old Testament idolatry by changing one letter in his name. He knows how much people crave a scapegoat and a savior. Not willing to look for the kingdom of heaven within themselves as Jesus hoped they would.
I have suggested multiple times here The new Republic is groundwork for new Kingdom, that everything God does functions on an internal logic and has to work within that framework. It is why Jesus had to be a man, why he had to "die", etc
We have way too many fundies here who aren't willing to accept that modern Pauline Christianity is pretty much Sharia law, somehow more concerned with skirt lengths and sex than the actual spiritual war happening this second...just to keep masses controlled and in the dark.
Cross referencing to see what that means and where is not superstitious.
Being wary and not fully invested in men is neither superstitious nor negative.
There was also an assertion of hope.
The original statement was perfect.

It seems good to even try to pray for the enemies - that they would repent, or be defeated.

Yes, we need to be careful here. Only Jesus can bring the new earth. This, unfortunately, looks like a great set-up for an anti-Christ.
It really does.
It’s hard to tell, but it wouldn’t be shocking if this part of the story was Revelation 13:2-7.
It isn’t precisely thrilling that the presidential car is called “The Beast” or that Kushner’s property was located at 666.
We will see, though. Things do look hopeful that this will be resolved.

Have read the same thing - he doesn’t know when he gets to cut loose, so he always has an antichrist or two on hand ready to go.

This is Truth. Trust in God.

I agree with this.

Which is the better story?

Beware of superstitious negativity
Q itself said this is going to “be Biblical”.
Cross referencing to see what that means and where is not superstitious.

Ditto sir. Humanity couldn't get it right.
