Look, I think she definitely reacted the way she did because she knew she was being recorded. And I'm not saying she wouldn't have had the same response had she not known, but it might not have been as polished up for mass consumption and patriotic sound bites.
However, he said what he said. There's no getting around it. And the fact they have more recordings tells me that she had to have been approached multiple times prior to that, which forced them to start recording in the first place.
Also add into the fact that he immediately resigned and hopes she doesn't release the rest of the recordings, speaks volumes.
Yes. I think the fact that she has been a journalist for 30+ years, she knows how things can be taken out of context and spun for sound bites. I know that for every on-camera interview or other appearance she did when campaigning for governor, she stated that she brought her own film crew to 'also' record and video the event so that she could refute any liberal media spin or misinformation claims, as they are so wont to do.
In this case, she rightly recorded this convo with the guy because he made her feel suspicious with his demand to speak to her in person only, while saying, 'This conversation can only be done in person, not on the phone...' statement.
I think the fact that she has been a journalist for 30+ years
That right there is enough for me. How dumb is this guy?
I would be very careful with my words around a known journo, cause you just don't know whose side they're on. And definitely wouldn't be offering fucking bribes to them. They KNOW other journos! DUH!
I have no problem with kari lake setting up the idiot. your dealing with a former news reporter and you don't stop to think she might record you? that's their bread and butter. FOOL!
He's got to be an idiot anyway. Before I talking to anyone on a subject so scandalous I would have the frisked for a wire. Either that or put a horse in their bed the day before.

This. He's head of the party that protected noname and the Maricopa steal.
Oh she was definitely correct in doing what she did.
And he got caught big time.
Soon he'll be on Meet the Press opining how this was such a dirty trick, and the audio was edited. But I guarantee he'll never say what was edited.
He'll say he'd rather not get into the politics of it and he'd rather just move on
Book it
And then she’ll release the u redacted full version…

f he flipped, this story could be cover for his deal (this "punishment" rather than jail for "other offenses" in return for intel).
