And as the pastor at the church I attended yesterday said-the Lord expects us to be perfect Christians until the end-which is very difficult for me-but I try each and every day.
People can love you despite who you are, if other people can then God most certainly can.
If we are to be perfect then why does God give forgiveness? Nobody but Christ got it perfect nor will we. Youbpastor needs to rethink that.
Actually I may have said it wrong. He says God expects us to try to be perfect and to never stop because we will fall short of perfect. Meaning just because you go to church and maybe you attend bible studies, that doesn't make you perfect and you shouldn't think that you are better than anyone else because of what you do, it is your heart and mind that lead you to perfection. He had the bible verses to back up his statements, sadly I don't.

eyes WIDE OPEN= you have been "turned up", filled with the spirit of Christ
one eye closed OR both eyes closed= you are still the same as you entered this place, upside down (Matthew 6:22)
now you know why [they] cover their eye & stick out their tongue, they mock HIM (Proverbs 16:30) & (Isaiah 57:4)
HE has bought us a second chance, through HIS own SACRIFICE on the cross, between two sinners, of which one repented & the other did not, he saved the one who did.
We forsake HIM, we turned from HIM to chase strange flesh, but HE loves us SO MUCH, we was willing to enter this place, sacrifice himself, defeating DEATH & giving us one more chance at salvation.
