Keeps you warm and comfy
"Try the new SUX-2000 E-bike - new and improved with heated seat and grips"
Once you sit on it, you will never leave!
I'll buy that for a dollar!
In Orlando there used to be a lot of bicycles with gas-powered motors on bicycles. There was even a bicycle fix-it shop that did installs. These bikes were hazardous to regular bikes in bike lanes and on the bike trails, but at least you can hear them. The main riders were men who lost their DL for DWI or did not pay child support.
Now these electric bikes are being driven by the scoundrels above, and a lot of others. Down Town Libtardville you can now add in the crappy scooters. It is very dangerous for pedestrians and regular cyclists, they are too quiet. The scooters are expensive to ride and people are too lazy to walk. WTH, I have a bum leg and I walk...
My bicycle (I Don't cycle much here in Nashville) Has a carbon fiber belt drive, no oiling, dirty pant legs, and the belt and sprockets last 3X longer than a chain and cassette. The bike has internal gearing in the bottom bracket, a 12-speed, state-of-the-art tech. in 2020, but the one thing it lacks is a motor. I'm the motor... The company that makes the bike only sells belt drive bicycles, and they have a new version of the gearbox and shifters that are electronic, that baby looks sweet! However, I'll just keep the 2020 model I have now.
To hell with these battery-powered anything, they are dangerous, and slave labor is mining the rare earth materials.
Also, parasitic loss with chain v belt! I've never seen a belt drive bicycle tho
You sure that's not a scene from Ghost Rider?
Well, I don't see Nick Cage with his head on fire in this clip, soooo....
this is hardly an endorsement for those e-bikes!
So these are getting popular... what if someone has a bike accident.. can these things blow up?
I'm a little reluctant to take this at face value since i don't know what happened before the filmer started recording.
Member when all the fear porn about ecigs and batteries blowing up in people's pockets?
Those only had one or 2 batteries in them.
Ebikes, electric vehicles, contain BANKS of those batteries. Uncontrollable fire. In a BIG way.
Consider if it was in the garage or the front of a bus. Recalls lately on these and every other lithium battery item including Tsla's.
It's a Bic! (Note the spelling)
I actually own an e-bike, granted I've got it only a few years ago for Christmas; It's helped me get to and from my old job workplace.
I make sure to keep it in the garage and charge it only on days when I needed to get to work, and yeah it does indeed work as intended.
Now that I've seen this, I suddenly feel mortified
Member hoverboards? And the ensuing fires? Your ebike battery is a larger fire bank than them.
Had it for two years
How much life you think it has left in it?
NB, don't use shitty battery packs.
E-bike fires are easily preventable
