Good move. Every time I get a text that says, We are interested in buying you property at _____, I text back something telling them how ashamed they should be working for an investment group that making destroying single family home ownership.
I just got a letter from Open Door (owned by blackrock/vanguard) yesterday making me an unsolicited offer on my house, above asking and it made me mad. No company should own any family homes. Period.
Agree! I have answered a couple time, Yes, I am interested in selling. Price is 1,000,000 dollars, non-negotiable.
You know what would help more? Preventing all non-citizens from owning or renting in the State. Tax all Federal housing benefits at 100% if you can't outlaw them directly. If you can't easily increase supply then control the demand side and block out the undesirables.
But, but that's discrimination.
On a similar note I feel terribly discriminated upon because that I can't afford beachfront property on Maui.

If this was applied to every state, Blackrock and Vangaurd's business model would crumble and property ownership, housing and rentals would actually be affordable and a fraction of what it costs now. This is why they own alittle bit of everything. In case they get taken down, the whole thing comes down with it.

This approach is key to wiping out the corruption (along with honest elections, etc.). As long as crooks, particularly foreign crooks, can own land, living costs are artificially high and we are all serfs.

As much as I support this, and boy-oh-boy do I support this, the folks writing these had better have a rock solid plan for the challenge in court. Cuz Nosferatu are definitely going to use the Constitution against these laws. "Freedom of association", "Freedom of expression", etc. They care not for these principles, but will use them as a hammer to get what they want.
If Blackrock buys a single family dwelling, what do they do with it? Let it sit empty? Do they rent it? Do they let illegals live there for free? How does this drive up property values? Maybe that's a dumb question. Be patient with one who reads dummy books.
Do not like this at all. This is giving into communism and exactly what the left wants. I don’t want see large corporations suffer because this generation is too lazy to buy property
