It drives me crazy that people think we just have to elect Republicans and our country's problems will be solved. You mean, like the closing the border? Holding traitors accountable for their crimes? Investigating election rigging??? Stopping the funding of fake wars? No, they do nothing as long as they can launder piles of money alongside the Democrats. Remember Trey Gowdy and Jason Chafetz? Two perfect examples of complete loser frauds who did nothing but talk.
Question about the two you mention ~
Trey and Jason were brilliant orators and boldly spoke and railed about the corruption and the corruptors. Then in time, they both left their positions and became 'occasional commentators' for Fox news while they pursued other things.
I know that Chafetz publicly stated that he had been receiving threats to himself and his family and asked for help from the DOJ or Capitol police (can't remember which now) and they refused to give him any protection.
I don't know what happened with Gowdy. The Dems/Deep State pull out all the stops in threats and intimidation to the righteous warriors until they break.
Does anyone know the real scoop?
Wish I knew what happened with Trey... maybe he was threatened or maybe his role is in the next part of the movie in POTUS' administration.
Hmm....thanks for reminding me about Chafetz. I forgot about that. I guess I'm being too harsh on them, especially knowing what I know now about how the deep state operates. I just remember being repeatedly disappointed in both of them for not following through. I appreciate the reality check. Nothing has changed since then. They're all bribed, blackmailed or threatened.
Being blackmailed or threatened and choosing to step down to save your family is different than taking a bribe and doing nothing or the wrong thing.
Let's not mix up the two.
If you witness treason and are in a position to remedy it, but do nothing, then you are guilty of misprision.

They are very good at giving the appearance of taking action. Almost as though it’s all for the headlines. (Senator Shithead promises to put immediate end to …. fill in the blank.)
I worked in D.C. for 15 years.
It's very profitable to sit in 2nd place. They're not incompetent. They're not stupid. Republicans do what they're paid to do. For many decades, rhetoric was enough.
But, the bright side is that Republican voters by and large realize this. Most are not slaves to their party the way Democrats voters are.
I’ve essentially said the same forever. When Dems are in charge, they try to take away our rights, impose draconian regulations, and ruin the character of our nation. Then when Republicans take back over, do they claw all those changes back and send us even more in the right direction? No.. at BEST they pause our continued slide into chaos until the Dems take back over. Ever notice how they are somewhat interested in “impeachment” when they know there is zero chance it will result in anything meaningful from the Senate or DOJ? Yeah we’ve been fooled for far too long.

It is not a real two-party system. It's all one thing, and each side has its function. The function of the Republicans is to give the illusion that there is opposition to the outrages perpetrated by the Democrats, but in the back room they have already made the deal.
Truth. RINOs have zero interest in actually holding power. They would be just as happy in a 217 seat House and 49 in the Senate. That way they can talk and squawk and write strongly worded letters about how they would do so many wonderful things, if only you gave more money to the GOP... That's why they are perennial losers.
