Thx fren. Know to not buy aidells sausages now.
Once I'm in the groove with my local farmers this becomes easier, but even in red states they're under a lot of FDA pressure.
Keep the heat on your reps as best you can as there's still boatloads of work to do even in conservative states. County committee elections are habbening now.

Great list. I'm happy to say I've never used any of those brands, Including Tyson. I'm good with that.
I only use Hillshire Farms and Jimmy Dean but very little.
Now it will be none.
I hear you. I was shopping earlier, went to reach for a bag of Tyson chicken wings and thought, "Ohhhh... Nope. Not going to support companies with an anti American leadership infestation.". Still refuse to buy Dasani (Coca Cola firm whose beast CEO thinks people should Be Less White). I blame the BoDs as the MINUTE a CEO does or says anything like this they should be fired unceremoniously, out on their ass and put on a blacklist. We'll do our part with refusing to support the beast system. It's just a matter of being informed.
Amen.
I dont eat any of that poison.
Oh no, so many brands. I need a list of "approved" foods. Seems everything is owned by some bigger fish. :(
Because they are...
I need a nearby farmers market with meat too...
Our itinerant (due to zoning regulations) farmers market is moving back to 1 block from my house and will get its final home a mile from me 6 months after that. Everything is local. And we are bringing 13 more raised beds online right now.
In the end, the likely scenario is we are going to have to go to farmers markets and growing our own.
Before putting that box into your shopping cart, you must always do 3 things -
Brand name, manufacturer name and any parent company references. First screening. Boycotted brands out the door.
Ingredients list - the most important one. Avoid products with unrecognizable ingredients as far as possible. Check that product out by scanning its barcoce on Yuka (Edit: fixed typo from Yuca) app.
Avoid foods containing "natural flavors", they could potentially contain aborted fetus and human remains. Avoid artificial food coloring too.
Here is an article about "natural flavors". I've always wondered about them. Thank you for prompting me to take a look. https://www.eatingwell.com/what-are-natural-flavors-8605395 They must be proven safe, but when corporations are trying to depopulate us, the best bet is to make meals from scratch.
Use the UPC bar code w/ you're cell phone...that will tell what it is!!!!
Just sayin'!!!!
I didn't find that app but did fing: yuka app
Yes sorry. I must have been thinking about yucca root. kek.
I just checked the App Store, I see Yuka (with a K) with a carrot logo, is that it?
That's the one, fren. Sorry for the typo.
Thanks.
TY. I knew about Tyson chicken but didnt know about others I used. But no more.
I watched fairly shocking documentary (sorry the title alludes me) about the chicken industry and the bottom line is, if you eat chicken from a store, Tyson is behind it regardless of brand. It's a cabal and the small farmers get squeezed hard.
Thank you. We have not bought Tyson Chicken since the Clinton years. I can’t remember the ‘scandal’. But we stopped knowingly purchasing their food then. I am sad to see a few of our favorite brands, Jimmy Dean being a biggie, on that list. I will now add those brands to our boycott list. Thank you again, Fren.
Wow, I never buy any of these brands. Not once. I havent bought a Tyson product in 20 years at least
Thank you for the link, winn!
If you all have access to local butcher shops, those are your best bets for quality meat. The prices are a bit higher but then you won't be putting money in the pockets of big pharma food which is where these companies are heading.
I see some who work for Tyson in Kentucky, it isn't Americans..fact.. Haitian creole is the language used.
I didn’t see a brand in there worth putting in my body. Boycott will be easy.
I think a list of good brands would be more useful.
Sorry fren, I don't have time to check a list of 34 brand names from just this one company every time I pick up an item in a grocery store. And even if I did, what are the odds the private label store brand isn't also made by them anyway?
Can I remember not to buy anything that says Budweiser and Tyson and not shop at Target? Absolutely.
I think just being familiar with them is enough, the subconscious mind will do the rest as you shop. But nevertheless the word must spread!
Thank you. There are are couple products I’ll have to give up—and I’m more than happy to do so.
Thanks!
Awww, not Jimmy Dean! Shoot a monkey...
it's full of junk ingredients anyway! read it!
If you want a decent sausage brand (as far as ingredients go, I wouldn't dare speak to their morals) the Kroger brand sausages are basically just the meat and some spices. No MSG or other strange chemicals. Tasty too
