Johnson has shown himself to be a traitor and a swamp creature. A traitor is worse than an enemy, because an enemy at least has the decency to let you know they're your enemy. We have to purge out those who show themselves to be disloyal. It will hurt, we might lose the house and maybe the 2024 presidential election, but right now, we are hemorrhaging, and we can't heal until we cauterize the wound.
Pretty sure that if DJT loses the 2024 election the US is done for.
No, I don't think the US will be done for if Trump loses 2024. Just like I don't think the US will be done for when the next President, who won't be Trump, is elected in 2028.
As much as I love Trump, the idea that he alone can save the country is ludicrous. I really wish people would focus more on policies and trying to come up with ways to make the party stronger rather than making one man the end all, be all of the future of our country.
What are people planning on doing after Trump is reelected in 2024 and is then ineligible to be President again? Just never vote again?
We've put Trump so far up on a pedestal that it's going to be difficult to find someone to follow him. And we've pretty much blown through the top Republicans in the country (those who ran against Trump in the primaries and most of the Republicans in Congress)and have very vocally stated how horrible they are as politicians and as people. So it's going to be a challenge to find someone that will have a strong chance to win 2028.
I think that we might have shot ourselves in the foot with this. Or at least grazed it. Because we've spent the past 10+ years making everything about Trump, the man, rather than the policies of the Republican party. And we've been pretty vocal and rabid whenever anyone has dared challenged him, that we've seriously tarnished the public perception of virtually every Republican who might have otherwise had a chance of winning 2028.
It's going to be interesting to see what happens in 2028, and how MAGA is going to cope after Trump is out of politics.
It makes me wonder if people ever thought about what they'll do after Trump's second term in office. Because many have made it clear that they support Trump, not the Republican party. And people like Trump only come around every 50-100 years or so.
The DS is trying to make an example out of Trump. If Biden somehow wins re-election we know the DS is in control and the only way to shake off the DS shackles is civil war. If Trump wins, I expect a draining of the swamp.
Draining the swamp isn't a "one and done" thing. Trump drained the swamp during his first term as well. There will always be new corrupt politicians coming in.
There seems to be this weird idea that Trump is just going to basically eradicate evil from the planet if he gets reelected and then we'll all live in perfect harmony for the rest of time.
So Trump may drain the swamp. It will simply refill over time.
Which is why I think it's more important to focus on policy and think up better ways to do things than to think one man (who is pretty elderly, in all honesty) is going to save America and, I dunno, watch over it like Batman or something, constantly jumping to the rescue when needed.
The movement is bigger than one person. Our fight will continue. It will probably take years, maybe even decades, but slowly we will gain momentum. Even if it is one or two people at a time, we will win. Now that we are awake, we will never stop fighting. I have accepted the possibility that I may not live to see the conclusion of this, but I think my grand children or great-grandchildren will one day witness the fall of the deep state and usher in the greatest generation America will have ever seen.
I won't upvote nor downvote them for it, but playing kick the can is a loser mentality that has been used for too many years at this point and we all are living the result of that.
At a certain point, people have to say "the buck stops here" and that's what they're doing with Trump.
Also, considering the fellating of McCarthy that MTG performed, I do not trust her and often she reeks as over compensating to avoid being called out for it.
Its always been this way actually. We just have knowledge of it now. Its never going to not be a fight in this reality. As long as humans, devils and angels have their nature this struggle will continue.
Elected representatives have to at least pretend to adhere to their constituents. This means that it may be better to have a shitty Republican as speaker vs risking a Democrat getting in, where they'll go full steam towards destroying our country. Republicans being Democrats from 10 years ago does have value, in that it minimizes the damage to our country and allows us to wise up and root out the enemies hidden within our midst.
Primary season is the time to root out these types completely, not in the middle of battle.
We can't reward this kind of behavior. If we do, then the RINOs will just keep walking all over us. How has playing political games worked out for us so far? We have to take a new approach, one based on principles instead of whatever we've been doing lately.

This. Might as well buy some new shoes now, for the line you'll have to stand in for your daily allotment of bugs.
I hope its crickets today! So sick of spiders 😒
Still better than the fried cockroaches and recycled feces burgers.
Make that the world.

I believe we are going to see it and see it soon. Positive thinking. We are watching a movie, after all.
I hope it is infact a movie, not a series like sg1. That was a long 10 seasons lol
The time to win is now. There is no later. All I see is winning, and people still get dismayed by these bumps in the road.
i don't think America has that much time.
Everything feels like we don’t have that much time.
You got downvoted for this?
Lmao

He said he would release J6 videos, but then I believe someone said he only released 90 hours from the 45k available(?) Anyone have any info on that?
