7-year-old 'rides bike alone,' prompting cops to be called | WND | by Around the Web
A Georgia family has been profiled in Reason for a series of incidents in which bystanders called police because their 7-year-old was riding bike "alone." Or worse, in a grocery to fetch a free cookie being offered by the store. The upshot is that the fami...
I went wherever I wanted at that age,I came home when I was hungry..... No cell phones,no problems.
Yeah, people are totally paranoid about everything now.
For a reason.
I think times are different now. There are more pedophiles, child abductors.
Same here. No restrictions. My Mom had a voice that you could hear for several miles. That was our dinner bell.
Not as many child predators on the loose back then because parents would implement justice.
Still had a lot of missing kids just weren’t aware as we are today.
Very true.
"The goal? A "Reasonable Childhood Independence" law in the state."
Just NO unless you want your kid to independently get an abortion or trans intervention. IMHO. We know by now how these things work . . .
Don't tell George Takei, he will buy a bike and go cycling.
Gen X kids lived in the wild. Other than being home in time for dinner - nobody knew where the hell I was at any point in time, all day, every day. I roamed far and wide... and it was normal.
No kids went missing, there were no problems. Life was good in suburbia.
yep, street lights were my "reminder" for when it was time to go home.
we played kick ball in the streets, road our bikes all day long in the summer and in the winter, we hiked our inner tubes and sleds to the big hill. good times.
Wow, I can’t believe this is real. I expected it to be a baby bee article.
The cabal would love to scoop a kid like that up. Still no reason for the cops to get involved.
It's more about the parents being made aware this world runs on the blood of children.
I was often on my bike alone.
I'm only in my 30's and when I was 7, I had the same kind of independence. I rode my bike everywhere around town and came home when it started to get dark. This is crazy to me. Those other adults were probably the kids wearing helmets, leashes, and getting participation trophies.
I have mixed feelings on this. So much depends on the child him/herself. Bottom line, a seven year old is no match for a pedophile. There are hundreds of videos online of weirdos grabbing kids much older.
