Maknojia got into his car and followed the two men, who were on foot, according to police. A witness told police he saw Maknojia pull up alongside the two men as they waited to cross the street, and then heard gunshots and saw the men running from the car, according to court records.
Maknojia suffered a gunshot to his right side and died in his car, police said
FYI that's not a bad crime ridden area. In fact, it's only about 3-4 blocks from the police station and the Humble Court House. It's just across 59-highway from the Bush International Airport. Anyone on foot in that area is a local.
The article above never said anything about the clerk following them in his car, then pulling up beside them on the roadside. The two people turned themselves into the police station later and one admitted to shooting.
so a thief can act in self defense after committing robbery, but if a clerk acts in self-defense during the robbery after being assaulted and threatened, it doesn't count..
