Chinese repression happened. Understand why though. A huge amount of the water that finds its way into China's central valley comes from the Himalayas and rivers with sources that originate in Tibet. They have to have control over the full length of those rivers so they have control over their water supply.
This is the same lesson the Egyptians are learning. The Nile is a very long river and has a source in the highlands of the Eastern Horn of Africa. Ethiopia keeps damming up the river for hydroelectric power and the result is that they're also throttling the water that gets to Egypt. Egypt has for millennia relied upon those waters and their seasonal floods. The silt in those floods is fertilizer for the entire Nile delta. The dams are blocking all that up, and Egypt has no control over it because the dams are built in other countries. China is damn sure not going to allow that to happen to them.
So, Tibet's never going to be free of China. China is dependent on that never happening.

I think the "Free Tibet" movement was an orchestrated PR campaign that gave the CIA ammunition to show the evil criminality of China annexing a neighboring nation.
The official narrative is that the world had no logistical way of stopping it and bad PR was all they could muster.

I would not doubt that the Kazarian run Clowns in America, State Department, et all gave the ok for China to annex Tibet in exchange for some other nefarious quid pro quo.

It was, just like all other "free XYZ" movements, most probably a CIA operation to keep China in check as they were preparing to unload the financial system from US to China as part of the NWO.
Well China is a pretty messed up place to live. I'm sure Tibet would be happy to be freed from China even if the CIA didn't pick them as a tool.

Considering the constant feudal warfare in Chinese history, I think it has genuinely been a not so great place to live for many, many centuries or even before the last two millennia.

three things i remember seeing as bumper stickers on many many cars years ago: 1- no farms, no food. look what they are doing to farmers these days. 2- these colors don't fade/run. where are we these days? 3- free tibet. did they mean they meant free trips to tibet? or was someone paid off and now all tibets cost money?

Just wondering, maybe conversation can get some people away from thinking that Russia is the problem and get them back to thinking about freedom for Tibet instead of killing and maiming hundreds of thousands in Ukraine and Middle East.

Such a disappointment. Tarnishes the entire Tibetan Monk realm and how sad is that, for the ones who are righteous? However, I do not believe you keep groups of one gender together for any length of time as a lifestyle without sexual activity occurring.
Seems like most news about Indonesia come from CNN and you know how trustworthy they are,,, I bet they just write stories to suit their own propaganda like I noticed climate change is being headlined alot.
Thanks for mentioning, Indonesia has a 270+ million population spread across all its islands (and shared islands ), 1,300 ethnic groups, 231 million practice Islam, mostly Sunni,. I had a classmate I did not know well but she who was friendly and always said hello to me when walking by. It might be the “Rohingya” people who fled Myanmar for refuge in Indonesia, but they are not getting treated well there.
Rohingya people also entered India in droves, just like in all well crafted CIA conflicts. They were then used to try and destabilize Indian government as well. Much like a nuclear chain reaction.
