So far, Dan Bongino has been right about everything he's reported. He's very careful to confirm information before releasing it or he is upfront that it isn't confirmed yet. He still has contacts in the Secret Service who want to get information out and they trust him. During Cheatle's hearing he was telling Congress what questions to ask during his broadcast- very specific questions based on information sources were feeding him, and they were asking those questions, It was hilarious to see Congress taking notes from him in real time,

I was listening to this when he broke it. Poor Dan. You can tell he feels, hurt, betrayed by the whole thing because it was such a point of pride for him in his life.
Completely unacceptable. When Trump returns to office there needs to be an overhaul of the Secret Service, among many agencies...

Interesting that Sheila Jackson Lee was on a supervisory board for SS and she died days after assassination attempt.
No, the reason is because they were trying to get President Trump killed. Might as well state the root cause every time.
Remember the SS guy asking the guys with guns who showed up while they are getting Trump into the SUV asking "can they shoot good?"

These days, it is very easy to set up a failure with SS, or any other agency. Every SS agent has a specific role, and I am sure they concentrate on that role, exclusively. If so, it would not be hard for someone higher up to set up points of failure to result in a successful assassination under the SS watch.
Back when I was part of the protection of the V-Corps Commander in the Army, we all knew not only our jobs, but the other jobs, as well. That way we could quickly adapt to any unexpected variables that came up in an operation. I do not think that is the case today with the SS, or many other similar agencies.
If true, then it would be easy to build in gaps in the security plan exploiting that lack of coordination.
There could also be a few people sprinkled into the overall operation that were in on the plan to allow DJT to be assassinated. This could explain the delays in responding when shots were fired.
If the USSS was in on it they would have murked Daddy T LOOOOONG ago. This is something else.
I don’t think the SS is in on the attempt. I think that the head of SS was probably influenced to make decisions that affect their ability to properly protect DJT. SS is a branch under Mayorkas of DHS. I think that guy is the one that is responsible.
I'm sure that Trump could hire the best snipers.

The real reason, of course, is that some of the folks in charge were hoping somebody would shoot him.
I'm glad Bongino seems to be going the right direction with this one. He's been so defensive of the Secret Service in the past I was sure he'd be the last to get on board here.
I respect a lot of what Dan does- but I’m really tired of him constantly hammering home how it’s just “incompetence” that led to this. He’s either willfully blind on this or too cowardly to actually call this out as intentional and start really pushing to get to the bottom of it.

No doubt they have plenty of money, however, Mayorkas is head of DHS and the Secret Service is under that the department, so Mayorkas is in charge and Cheatle was an agent that protected Dick Cheney.
