The Japanese embody borders, culture and language. They are a homogeneous people. And they are an example of what a country can become after being devastated by war almost 80 years ago. Highest test scores. Innovators. Strong economy. Minimal street crime. They understand what's happening in the world.
I live in a small mountain town in Japan and I still see women in hijabs at the store and such. Japan is importing Malaysians, Sri Lankans, and others to work the fields (along with Vietnamese and Chinese) because rural populations are dwindling and kids are growing up and moving to the big cities to find jobs rather than continue the family's farms.
I know several Filipinas working in Japan, but they aren't working in the fields. Working as office cleaners and store clerks etc... A pain in the ass for them because they had to get extensive training in Manila with no pay, months of training. Had to learn to speak Japanese...
Japan is quite racist in that you will NEVER fit in, but thats ok.
Yeah, but I never fit in when I lived in America. I like how people leave me alone here. I generally keep to myself and my family and don't feel lonely without friends to spend time with. Most of my social interaction is online via email, messaging, vidchat, etc.
Yeah, I'm happy alone and spend a lot of time alone, and am happy with it as well. However, along with typing Verbose, I talk non-stop when I have a chance. Rarely trivia mostly life stories and MAGA stuff these days...
I'm no Tesla, but did ok on IQ tests and AZFAB, ACT, and GED tests. I have read that intelligent people often are ok with few friends. I like to sing Karaoke, but its just for the attaboys I never got as a child. It feels great when people dance or turn on their cellphone flashlights!
My fellow foreign coworkers here in Japan are either clueless or shitlibs, save for one. The last time I took an IQ test, I was at 139. I think it was higher when I was tested as a child and got stuck in the gifted program at my elementary school I had no interest in joining. There are different IQ tests, but the ones that focus on metaphors and pattern recognition are the ones I do best at.
LOL, Send Japan the Dumbasses and Shitlibs, operations for WW2... My IQ was always very good, but I don't know about now, I'm 66 and really don't enjoy anything that makes me think too hard!
It's been several years now, but one of my coworkers said to me, "Boy, it sure is hot today. This global warming is getting out of hand!" At first I thought he was not being serious. I was like, "It's... summer. It's supposed to be hot." And it really wasn't even as hot as it had been the previous year. And he's one of the better ones to talk to, not the guy who has a paid subscription to the NYT and brags about his "niece" that has "transitioned." So yeah, I am very content to not spend time with any of them. My family gives me enough stress as it is.
Great points. The effort they put towards honor and respect for others is truly remarkable, maybe even to a fault.
I've been there several times and I'm always blown away by how welcoming and point they all are. Unfortunately they have too much faith in government authority.
I was there a few weeks after the big earthquake while the Fukushima reactor was still leaking. I was walking to the subway while there was a brief protest (I think over the mandatory brownouts and curfews) in downtown Tokyo. The police showed up in massive force spilling out of several Police Busses 🚌. The protesters gave in right away and immediately dispersed. Many of them were wearing masks way back then, possibly to disguise themselves.🤷♂️
Sadly huge percentages of them fell for the scamdemic.
I think a lot of these Asian countries were wearing masks long before Covid.
Spot on DrMcCoy, I lived in the Philippines 3 years before the COVID bullshit and plenty wore masks, however away from downtown during COVID lockdowns many people cheated by not wearing the masks, not wearing them completely, or using cloth masks that were easier to breathe through. More compliant, but also more prone to cheating.
Agreed.
I saw lots of masks in Vietnam and Indonesia long before the scamdemic, but they were worn mostly by people riding scooters while traveling to avoid the dusty and water spray from the poor roads.
In the US, the Asian populations are much more compliant with the mask "requests".
Masks might not stop Viruses, but they do stop larger particles such as road dust, snot when people sneeze, and saliva from people who stand too close and speak forcefully.
They were locked down in the Philippines around March 17th, for a long time Seniors and Children weren't allowed out of the house. Seniors had passes for going to buy food and pay utilities, rent, etc 2 days a week for a few hours in the morning(Everything there was paid in person) You had to sign in at the stores and they used a temperature gun. There's a lot more details, but... So most people bought shitty cloth masks that were easier to breathe through, and washable. We wouldn't cover our noses or sometimes mouths.
When I returned to the USA in the Fall of 2020, then went to work in the Fall of 2021 I had to wear a mask to ride the bus. I no longer drive and my wife and I had to work. Same thing in regards to not covering the nose.
In 2022 I had an accident while walking my dog, broke a couple of my fingers, and skinned my face up. I didn't miss any work, but had to wear a mask for the bus otherwise they wouldn't let me ride. They would not let people ride the bus with uncovered wounds long before the pandemic. Sometimes you gotta make your own way around rules, and sometimes the rules make sense. I'd not want to sit next to someone all bloodied up and not covered.
Glad that you are on the mend now. 🙏🤞
I hope any attempts to scare people with another "Election Infection" are stopped quickly and folks wake up.
Stay safe my Fren!
God Bless.
This is racist. U nahtzee
I was crying when Abe was assassinated.
Yeah, he was Trump's based Buddy.
Me, too...still crying for Abe 😿
A Strong America is ultimately beneficial for most of the world. If only for our economic contributions and consumption alone.
The U.S despite the best efforts of both the American political class, American Corporate Class, Intelligence Agencies both foreign and Domestic, and the retardation of its own Citizenry. Remains a major political, Military, and Economic power.
And we seem to have a remarkable talent for discovering major deposits of Rare Metals and other substances used in industrial processes in the middle of bumfuck nowhere Middle America.
You’ve probably seen the headlines. “China controls 98% of X Resource. The American Empire will never recover.”
And then it seems like weeks later you’ll see the headline blurb “Billy Ray Joe Bob III discovered potentially the largest deposit of X Resource thus far known known to man under his Grandpappys Still shed in bumfuck nowhere Appalachia.”
Which only reminds me of as best I can tell the Apocryphal Quote by Otto Von Bismark “There is a Providence that protects idiots, drunkards, children and the United States of America.“
It's an extremely small march.
But it's real.
Notice, the juxtaposition of Korean, Japanese and US flags.
Patriotism isn't limited to country. Some folks know that what is happening transcends nations. The Trump movement has, is and will continue to impact the whole world. For good.
Amen

There's a saying: When America has a cold, Japan sneezes.
Japan doesn't indulge in nonsense. My pops was A WW2 USMC vet. He always spoke respect about the Japanese nation and their warriors.
Japan is very well-behaved, but the deviants are way deviant.
Longtime anime fan here. Boy, did you nail that one.
LOL, I didn't get into Anime, but the Whole Lolita Culture (Jap Pedos) With Girls they think are cured because of teeth flaws, their poop porn, and the weird people who have expensive sex toy dolls. I can understand a sex toy, but not the whole dressing it up for tv, dinner, and PJs thing... Kek
