Howard U is an HBCU that’s currently 73% black. It probably had a higher black % in the mid 1980s when CommieLa was there. A black person with a one standard deviation IQ (115) can get into Harvard. That there were several of them in CommieLa’s psych class at Howard sounds like major bs.

The point is that the redditor’s tale is likely false. He claims that he went to Howard in the 80s when it was more black than the 73% that it is now. He says that in his (probably “Introduction to…”) Psychology class, “Most of us were around 115.” Either the test was not calibrated correctly, which would nullify CommieLa’s abysmal score, or the whole story is bs.
Affirmative action started in the 60s. After twenty years the public had well grasped that academia is arbitrarily more accessible to blacks. CommieLa graduated from Howard in 1986, the same year the movie Soul Man came out. It’s about a white guy who pretends to be black so that he can go to Harvard. The premise was so well accepted by the public that the movie was a box office success despite blackface controversy (people weren’t really upset about blackface, they were insecure about getting called out for being undeserving tokens). After 20 years of affirmative action, a real 115 IQ black person would go straight to Harvard and not waste time in (intro to) psych at Howard. Nevermind a class full of them.
