Be prepared. Do not panic. Do not get into fear. Buy what you need and do not hoard. Pray it wonโt last long. ๐

Gone are the days of a strong leader willing to fire unionized workers who strike (just because they're greedy) in order to keep this country functioning.
Instead, our (s)elected "leaders" are willing to sacrifice everyone to the altar of self-rightwous indignation of the "oppressor class of white, Euro-Christian descendant Alpha Males."
I know things look rough right now, and everyone wants to have more money for more trinkets. HOWEVER, this line of thinking comes at the cost of everyone else downrange. The port and dock workers make more than enough money. I know some dock workers who make well over $50/hr on a 36 hr unionized work week, who make over time pay at $75/hr after 38 hrs, and $100/hr double time pay for Federal holidays and work weeks over 52 hrs.
One of the worst things we ever did as a people was to let Hoffa, et al. (aka, Sicilian Mafia) determine how the unions function.
These unions need to be made aware that they CANNOT hold this country hostage just because [they] want a few more "silver shekels" in their pockets.
Most dock work positions are still classified as unskilled labor by the US Labor Dept, yet these fuckers get paid more than any LEOs, our military (all the way up to the 0-7 level), and the managers can and regularly do make more than most doctors and lawyers. I know unionized dock workers who drive fucking brand new Maseratis, Porsches, etc.
So, spare me the bullshit arguments about how they just want what's rightfully theirs.
Fire them all and hire new workers at a more reasonable rate of $20/hr. After all, if it's ok for an unskilled McDonald's worker, it should be perfectly fine for an unskilled pallet jack driver at a U.S. port.
GOOD!!!!!!!!!! I hope they can hold out for weeks. Yep, if they can only last on the picket lines until the first of the new year the left in this country will understand what Communism looks like. People will lose their jobs, kids will not get their Christmas toys, and maybe some bellies will go hungry. Do I really care they are striking? NOPE, I hope they stand their ground and make this country hurt and expose their greed. Probably the worker bees don't want to strike but the union bosses are forcing them onto the picket lines. Will the Union help with mortgage payments, car notes or even funds for the strikers food bills? Nope, they are on their own.
The unions are all for Communism, in case you didn't know. Communism is the ultimate form of unionization.
Oh yes. The American politburo.
The Union leaders in their Italian suits, driving their brand new "company car" SUVs; salaries, increments, conferences at 5-star hotels, vested pensions.
The voice of the worker, advocates for justice, champions of the oppressed LOL.
Ireland and the UK are no different, and I imagine the dynamic is the same in all the Western nations.
Yeah, when men understand that maybe they'll stop joining and letting commies use them, their money amd skills to ruin the country all while branding them as the people who build America.
"I hope they stand their ground and make this country hurt and expose their greed."
Don't forget that you and I are part of "this country," too.
I know that. Thus for the last twenty years I've been prepared for such happenings. From a previous reply I noticed you've been prepared also. Those folks who have sensed something hasn't been quite right with our country have been going down this road. If pain comes to my neck of the woods I feel it will be lessened by the preparations I've made. A LOT of people have no clue what is in-store, thus this will be a great awakening time for them to see how evil our government had become. I wish everyone well, but some won't even open their eyes. God bless, fren.
My work causes me to have to deal with this almost every day.
Yes, they are extremely well paid.
This is another cause and effect of Covid price gouging from the top down.
Remember when the government said it was going to investigate the high prices?
More smoke and mirrors.
The top brass at all of the logistics companies were giving themselves massive bonuses and not passing the money down.
I was paying nearly $24k for a container to get it here from overseas when it had been $6500 prior to Covid.
F all of them and the government they rode in on.
Part of the DS and Dems plan to shut down the country. There is way more to this strike than meets the eye. This is a planned action and probably lead by Obama.
If I had to guess, it is of course coordinated. However, I think it was actually started by the DS (including Obama) themselves. I think it is entirely possible the ILA was told to strike on 10/1 with the promise that they would be paid by organizations on the left, and that they should ask for impossibly high wage increases (knowing they would be on strike for an extended time period). The DS probably told them that they would absolutely get a massive raise eventually if they stay out long enough.
In return, the DS gets to shut things down again. It may not happen right away, but when grocery stores start running out of food, drugs, and necessities (diapers, toiletries, etc) people will start rioting and stealing. Cars will eventually start breaking down without the parts needed to fix them. Hospitals could be effected by a lack of medical supplies coming in from China. It doesn't even need to last that long - just long enough for them to interfere with the election.
Hopefully we the autists, anons, pedes - and Trump - have opened enough eyes to show who is responsible for this. Remember - Biden can stop this immediately (for 80 days) to force negotiations. He wont though - that would push this out past the election and Christmas shopping season.

I have to agree.
I'm not gonna go out and panic buy and hopefully my quasi-prepping over the past 4 years is enough. The only thing I'm gonna do is top off all of my gasoline and propane tanks.
Since the Plandemic we've all had moments where we believed the impact of shit shutting down was gonna truly get to us but this one feels a bit different. Probably because in 2020 they promoted panic over TP on the boobtube is being reported but not with as much panic.
Things are gonna feel normal for a few more days until people independently report their experiences with difficulty acquiring fuel and goods and the real scramble is gonna start.
"I'm not gonna go out and panic buy and hopefully my quasi-prepping over the past 4 years is enough. The only thing I'm gonna do is top off all of my gasoline and propane tanks."
Same here. I've been slowly prepping for a long time, so we're not in any immediate trouble.
Only thing is, I wonder what will happen if the stockpile gets depleted by the strike and then the Deep State shuts down the economy.
Now we see why Q told us September was "preparedness month"
I prepared in 2008 amd kept preparing. O don't have to go to a store for about 2 years if I didn't want to.
Ditto.
And I need to go to Costco just for my regular supplies.l and to pick up some extra supplies for the Western NC flood victims.
That place is gonna be more packed than usual today.
$5 Billion a day in losses is predicted. Them numbers are more than Joe Biden had given to Ukraine.
